For heaven’s sake, I positioned the camera in the wrong direction. Anyway, I love making backgrounds and having them ready so that when I want to apply something in the foreground, I’m good to go these fun little plaids tickle me. Who knows what will become of these two cuties.

The light hit Marge’s crown so perfectly that she couldn’t help but smirk. 😏

Pineapples are fascinating little things with their glorious green crown and all the beautiful diamond shapes that make up their body. They’re imperfect and yet so beautiful. Some are tall and thin, some are short and squat, and I find all of them delightful.

Pineapples represent opulence, royalty, and abundance back in the day, I mean, way back in the day, pineapples were hard to come by. European kings would have one shipped across the oceans. Imagine diving into a pineapple that’s been traveling for eight months just to get to your dining room table. I question the quality control.

And who knew that our ancestors used to rent out a good pineapple?? For real. As a show of your wealth, you could rent the neighbors pineapple and have it on your dining room table for the evening.

Let’s move beyond that today and let’s just put a beautiful piece of pineapple art in your dining room, kitchen, or pantry. This would also look spectacular in an entry. Opulence? You has it.

This piece is 18 x 22” mounted on canvas. Its name is “the light on her crown”. It’s available to be shipped to you. $649 doesn’t include shipping.

Life has been really lovely as of late. I thought it was time to share a little bit of summer with you as I make my life smaller and more intimate. Enjoy snippets of…

…a garden party I threw for my besties
…sunflowers
…Glimpses of my new studio
…art inspiration
… more pineapples
… new digs
…cotton candy skies
…art sales
… and things that make me smile

I am a real artist, living a lovely life, and I couldn’t feel more blessed.

Colorful collage pineapples are cracking me up. I love it when art makes me smirk. I can see these two against buttery yellow walls in a kitchen, pantry, or dining room.

“Hey, pssst, adjust your crown or no one will take you seriously.”

A good tiny story to go with good tiny art..,6” x 6” and ready to ship.

I was feeling a bit mischievous today, my first day back in the studio and quite a long time. I’m looking forward to finding my sea legs again. In the meantime, squeeze the day.

Artist Trading Cards are fun ways to begin your own art collection. This fine collector bought just one card two weeks ago and then returned to my eBay store Friday to buy the entire collection I titled "Confetti". How fabulous that this week I had confetti all over my new studio floor at my grand opening. *Photos coming in hot this week. #ATC #OOAK #FloralArt #happyart by @bigpinkstudio

These lovely little things came together really well over the weekend. Florals, a tree, and an oceanic abstract that’s only 5” x 5”.

If you love these and would like to see them in real time, head over to Maine Art Collective in Ogunquit, Maine.

That oceanic little abstract, 5 x 5” dimension, is sitting in my studio waiting for its forever home. Just send me a message and we can get it shipped over to you.

Happy art, happy heart. 🩷
