Entryway refresh! Thank you to everyone for your input on our front entryway. I swapped out the credenza for a more useful bench, and moved a table over from the other side of the room. Curated the gallery wall a bit, and added a mirror and a rug! I’m delighted.

Swipe to see where we started.

Is the artwork a little high still? Maybe, but we want to be able to sit on the bench without knocking our heads, so, function over form a bit in this case. Plus, I must admit it doesn’t look too high in person.

I tried to thrift the baskets, rug and the mirror but sometimes it doesn’t work out- and that’s ok!

Did you know that black dogs take longer to get adopted than any other color? Some say it’s because their coats don’t photograph as well but whatever the reason, y’all are MISSING OUT.

Our black dog, Waylon is a sweet bag of bones, afraid of the wind, in love with the kids, tolerant as heck, and always ready to “protect” us from someone walking by the house. He’s the best boy!

Go adopt a black dog!! Or cat. We have two of those too. 😂# taken in Buffalo, New York by @bigplansbeebe

Hi I’m Lydia and I’m the sort of person who loses her debit card but doesn’t worry because she knows it’s in a bag somewhere in the house. If that’s your sort of person, then welcome.

Cannot be more excited to announce that I’m a partner of The Farmer’s Dog. Our pups are part of the family, so it’s only natural that we’d feed them fresh, human grade food. You can get 50% off your first box at the link in my bio!

Maybe I’ve gone too far down the decorating rabbit hole when I’m focused on the waste baskets but…like why spend 10-50 bucks on something to hold your trash when you could get one from @goodwillwny for under $5? Plus they’re cuuuuute!
