BRR#48: @doomclubmusic (Liam Duane, Katie Lee & Leo Cicero), your local neighbourhood head-wreckers, are back with another release on Big Richard. Double single “World Wide On It / No Sense Makes Sense” is a bold spotlight on their early sound; having now made a swift departure from their electronic drum days, the trio were keen to mark a milestone ending of an era with one last gut-punch of a release.

Recorded all at the Shed & mixed between our houses, this is a proper DIY project and we can’t wait to get this one out.

World Wide On It / No Sense Makes Sense by @doomclubmusic is out now on @bigrichardrecords! We produced & mixed the two singles alongside the band, all done at the shed and at mine :)

Was so fun to work on these tracks! No clue what we were doing really but they feel right haha. Some pics from their rehearsal I think @leocicer0 took! Mastered by legend @harhay2023 !!

Go spin the tracks- they’re a cosmic mix, the action of the 90s combined with the exploitation films of the 70s, but with modern touches. It’s hyper violent, but it knows what it is. It’s a little bit Tarantino, it’s definitely a little bit Micheal Mann, it’s kind of a cosmic gumbo. It almost moves to the beat of jazz! taken in The Shed by @bigrichardrecords

“World Wide On It / No Sense Makes Sense” is out now. Our next release from @doomclubmusic marks the end of their drum-machine era, with two standout songs from their back catalogue to see it off.

We worked very hard on this release, handling everything from recording, to mixing - Doomers did the cover art, played the tunes. It’s truly a labour of love, and I think it shows ❤️

Ahead of a pretty big-as-hell summer, @englishxgarden take their show on the road for two dates in July.

First up we’re throwing a party in about two weeks @windmillbrixton for the first time in AGES. Can’t wait to be back. 20th July, £5 entry (link’s on our site), special guests TBA.

Then our lovely friend @gnarlymarmalade is putting them on alongside @_rchik and @rightrightrighttt for their first ever Brighton show @prezedbrighton - I popped in over TGE and it was a well fun venue - cant’t wait to be back - and the lineup is stellar. What’s more, that one’s free!

It’s an English Garden party… come and join in on the fun eh?

@cwfarmfest is back at the end of August (28th-31st), so we thought we’d throw a couple of parties with some friends before the big weekend!

@sugartaxsugartax @kittyhandley @mistymillermusic and a solo @baggioband will be performing for you on the 14th July @sebrightarms - we’ll be there recruiting volunteers, spreading the good word about the farm & being generally merry.

Added support for @christianmusicband comes in the form of our very own amphibious-all-terrain-vehicle-core band @yourmumlovesflounder. @tortured_devices open up the night. @theoldbluelast pours beers and hosts live music. Come and enjoy all of the above for only £5 (+ fees) this Saturday.

Next show. Back @theoldbluelast with absolute mad lads @christianmusicband. We’ve been itching to do a show with these guys for ages, their explosive thrash punk sound will sound mental in that room.
