Together with community, we ignite the power and promise of Twin Cities youth through mentorship. 💚

POSTS STORIES REELS

Looking back on an incredible 2025.

Together, we strengthened mentorship across the Twin Cities, celebrated meaningful milestones, and expanded opportunities for youth, families, and volunteers. Every connection, every milestone, and every success story was made possible by the dedication of our Bigs, Littles, families, donors, partners, and community.

Swipe through to see a few highlights from our 2025 Impact Report, and thank you for being part of a year that made a lasting difference. 💚 by @bigstwincities

We’re proud to share an exciting new chapter for Big Brothers Big Sisters Twin Cities:

Dr. Shana Ford has been named our next Chief Executive Officer, effective September 1.

Shana brings more than 15 years of executive and senior leadership experience across education, nonprofit management, workforce development and economic inclusion. Most recently, she served as CEO of NorthStar Public Schools, leading strategy, fundraising and operations.

A Minnesota native with deep roots across the Twin Cities, Shana also brings a strong personal connection to our mission and a belief in the power of relationships to create opportunity.

“I believe every young person deserves access to caring adults, supportive relationships, and opportunities to reach their full potential,” Shana shared.

Shana joins BBBS Twin Cities at an exciting time for our organization. We’re grateful for Pat Sukhum’s five years of leadership and the strong foundation he helped build, and we look forward to building on that momentum with Shana.

Please join us in welcoming Shana to BBBS Twin Cities. 💚

Mentorship can change everything. A 30-year study with @harvard and United States @treasurydept found that young people matched through Big Brothers Big Sisters were more likely to graduate, attend college, and close the opportunity gap—leading to a 15% increase in lifetime earnings. That’s real economic mobility.

A $1,000 donation today? It translates to more than $23,000 in future earnings for a young person.

When you give today, it will be more than a donation—it’s a long-term investment in a stronger, more equitable community. Support the youth in the Twin Cities and the mentors who show up every day to build brighter futures. Donate at the Link in our bio!

What an amazing event! Matches came together this past Sunday for our 5th Annual Uncle Jake’s Foundation Vikings Tailgate Party at our office to cheer on the @vikings, enjoy good food from the Vikings Table Food Truck, play games, win prizes, and overall celebrate community.

We also enjoyed a visit from the @mvcheerleaders who brought the energy and connected with our matches!

A HUGE thank you to Uncle Jake’s Foundation for continuing to make this day possible, and to everyone who showed up to make this event fulfilling and full of fun! 💛💜 by @bigstwincities
