I would like to formally announce the winner of the “HIM” colorist competition along with announcing their involvement in the series. Above, I have attached the winning submission colored by the immensely talented, Drey. As a result of the win, Drey will now work as the colorist for my upcoming comic book series, “HIM”.

I’m making a comic book!!! HIM is a dark and gritty take on the superhero genre that focuses on the mental health and physiological struggles that come with devoting your life to being a superhero.

Don’t forget to check out the first pinned comment on my account to find the color reference for the suit. I can’t wait to see the rest of the submissions!

If you are interested in having your work professionally published, consider participating in a challenge to find a colorist for my debut comic book series.

The rules for the challenge are that you go to the pinned post on my account and color @jakobgasparetto_art fully inked piece of HIM on the first slide. A colored version of the original character sheet has been provided as well. DM me on either TikTok or IG once completed.

The winner of the challenge will of course be given the opportunity to have their work be professionally published inside the pages of my debut comic book series, ‘HIM’. Written by Jaxon Tarantino and illustrated by Jakob Gasparetto.
