This is my dad.

Life took us down a road where we've spent more years apart than together. He's been locked up since I was 8 years old, and now I'm 39. That's over 30 years of missed birthdays, and missed memories.

But no matter the distance, no matter the circumstances, he'll always be my father. I've spent a lifetime wondering what things could have been, while still carrying the love, respect, and connection that only a son can have for his dad.

Life isn't always perfect, and families don't always get the time they deserve. But one thing remains true: blood, love, and family never stop mattering.

Love you, Dad. ❤️31 years apart, but he'll always be my dad. 💯❤️ #Family #FatherAndSon #RealLife #BestFriends #ComingHomeSoon BigFlex iykyk by @bigteedawave
