Midterms don’t always get the same attention as presidential elections—but they matter. 🇺🇸🗳️
Every U.S. House seat and roughly one-third of the Senate are contested during midterm congressional elections, which can change control of Congress for the following two years. Beyond governing, the results can also shape the political environment heading toward the 2028 presidential primary season—from party priorities and messaging to which political figures gain momentum.
This isn’t about Republican vs. Democrat or telling anybody who to support. It’s about understanding the process and paying attention to elections beyond the presidency.
Know what’s on the ballot. Know what’s at stake. Make your own decision.

Terence 'Bud' Crawford and Jaron 'Boots' Ennis had a heated exchange during the DAZN broadcast of Andy Ruiz Jr's comeback fight against Damian Knyba.

Boots doubled down on his statement that Bud would be easy work when asked about his previous sentiment that he would defeat Bud in a fight.

Why is Black men vs. Black women such EASY clickbait? 🤔
Put Black men and Black women against each other online and the comments start flying. Views go up. Everybody picks a side. But why are we so quick to engage when the conversation is about each other?
Is it hurt? Pride? Bad experiences? Social media algorithms? Or have we gotten too comfortable turning disagreements between Black men and women into entertainment?
At some point, we have to ask whether these conversations are actually helping us understand each other—or just keeping the division profitable.
🎙️ We get into it on Jack of All Trades Podcast.
👇🏾 Why do YOU think Black men vs. Black women gets so much attention online?

Recently, the NABJ gave Stephen A. Smith a Thumbs Down Award, stating it was in reference to his recurring public pattern of disparaging remarks directed at prominent Black women across politics, sports and media.

Many have defended the rationale behind this decision. However, many have pointed out previous inconstancies in the NABJ over past decisions as well as Smith being balanced when it comes to both praising and criticizing Black women equally in a fair and unbiased manner.

They say that those who fail to learn from the past are doomed to repeat it. The past can provide a reference point for learning human nature, so that we do not repeat the same mistakes or allow past indiscretions to become the norm in the present once more.

However, dwelling or obsessing over the past can prevent one from accomplishing the present tasks that need to be accomplished in order to secure a prosperous future.

Choosing to forgive and move on from the chains of the past doesn’t mean you’ve forgotten where you came from or what has been sacrificed by great leaders that came before us. Where do you stand?

From Oakland City Hall to a federal courtroom. 👀
Former Oakland Mayor Sheng Thao is facing federal bribery and corruption charges in a case prosecutors allege involved political influence, money, and benefits tied to city business.
We break down the case, what prosecutors are alleging, and what it could mean for public trust when the people elected to serve are accused of putting private interests ahead of the public.
⚖️ Charges are allegations, and Thao has pleaded not guilty.
What do you think—does a case like this permanently damage the public’s trust in local government?

Politics can oftentimes be an unpredictable topic of discussion, often pitting two sides against each other.

What may be viewed as a strength to one side can be perceived as a weakness to the opposing side and vice versa.

Do you think that it’s better to pick a candidate based on loyalty to a party or pick the best candidate out of two poor choices, even if it goes against one’s own political party affiliation?

A rebel without action is just making noise.

If we want respect, stronger communities, and a different narrative, we have to put something behind our words. And it doesn’t always require some huge movement. Check on your brother. Shake your neighbor’s hand. Encourage somebody. Support somebody. Build somebody up.

We’ve endured too much to spend our time tearing each other down. Change starts with what WE do for one another. ✊🏾

Don’t just talk about change. BE part of it.

💬 What’s one small thing we can start doing TODAY to strengthen our communities?

AI has become part of everyday life in a way that nobody anticipated in the 2020’s. However, many benefits come at the expense of knowing how to do even simple tasks ourselves.

As with most technology, do you think there is a point of diminishing returns?
