Last weekend Hutch Tech class of 05’ celebrated our 20 year reunion. It was such a blast from the past catching up with everyone. We had ourselves a good ole time and have aged like fine wine.

This weekend, I had the honor of riding in my very first Ride for Roswell—an unforgettable experience in so many ways. Not only did I complete my first century ride (plus five extra miles!), but I also rode alongside the incredible women of the @shicklunabikes Women’s Devo Project—a powerhouse team I’ve been training with since April. 🔥 🚴‍♀️

The tenacity, support, and camaraderie shared among our group of ten women has been nothing short of inspiring. From weekly Sunday rides to tackling a metric century and countless park laps in between, the journey leading up to this moment has been as rewarding as the ride itself.

Together, we raised over $8,000 for cancer research, rode strong at an average pace of 18 MPH, while combating 20 MPH headwinds. It was both profoundly moving and absolutely exhausting—in the best way.

We were lucky to have a few fearless leaders—who kept us together and pushed the pace like the pros they are. I’m grateful beyond words for your badass leadership and for giving us the strength to lift one another every mile of the way to the finish line. 💪

To my friends and family—thank you from the bottom of my heart for your donations, your kind words, and your unwavering encouragement throughout this journey. And to my team: you are some of the strongest, most determined women I know. It’s been an honor to ride with you.

This cause is truly changing the future of cancer research—and I’m so proud to have played a part in it.

Happy Birthday Jamie (yesterday)! I wouldn’t want anyone else by my side as we navigate through life together. Thank you for being the wonderful human, partner, cat dad and friend that you are. Cheers to more disc golf, concerts, icecream, road trips and impromptu karaoke in this year ahead. You mean the world to me, love you always. by @bikingbetty

🚲 CRANKSGIVING 2024 🚲

Team NOV CRANKSTERS had a blast navigating the city this weekend! We couldn’t have asked for a better day or community to gather with.

Thanks @gobikebuffalo for hosting this amazing annual event. This year a record breaking 2500lbs of food was raised for Provisions 139 and Buffalo Food Not Bombs.

I want to send a HUGE shout out to my bike team and fellow @novemberprojectbuffalo members @ni_kayla_ @krevat.scott and @rosieposie247 for a fun and smooth day of commuting!

A bit of a full circle moment today catching, tagging and releasing monarch butterflies with an awesome crew! Huge shout out to @manosdelacruz for the invite. (Pics 1-4)

I’ve been working on creating habitat for monarchs in my yard over the past five years and it’s been extremely rewarding. The last two years however, I’ve had issues with milkweed aphids taking over and it’s been difficult to control them regardless of how frequently I’m out there squishing them. Despite this, I was still honored to have both monarch eggs and caterpillars this year (Pics 5-15).

Having the opportunity to tag today was the icing on the cake as these monarchs specifically will be making the spectacular migration back to Mexico. The tagging we performed is a part of a larger collaborative effort to further research and determine the probability of monarchs reaching Mexico related to the geographical location they migrated from, the size of the butterfly and date of the tag.

Such a magical & beautiful experience! ✨

Allegany State Park 2024. Easily my favorite family tradition. Each year gets sweeter as we all grow another year older and I’m so grateful for this time together to create more memories.

This weekend filled my cup and was kicked off with an international Bike to Canada adventure planned by five @novemberprojectbuffalo members including myself.

This was such a fun trip with almost 40 cyclist biking from Front park over the Peace bridge and along the friendship trail to the Ridgeway farmers market.

It was so cool to view the Buffalo skyline, to connect with new and familiar faces #npinthewild and super easy to follow the trail to our destination.

I also had the honor to lead the first group of 10 bikers back to Buffalo following the market and the boarder crossing was easy peasey.

Thank you to everyone that joined for the ride! 🚲 🇨🇦
