🌀 EXHIBITION ARTIST: Bilal Demiri

What remains when memory becomes a place to return to?

Bilal Demiri is a poet and architect born in Ohrid, Macedonia, whose journey has taken him through Prishtina, Tirana, Graz, and Berlin. Since 2001, he has lived and worked in Berlin as an architect while continuing to develop his poetic practice.

Through poetry, Bilal explores migration, memory, identity, and the search for the self. Using simple yet symbolic language, he transforms personal experiences into reflections on belonging, solitude, and the questions that connect us all.

For AS ANEJ, AS KNEJ, Bilal Demiri presents one of his poems in the Poetry Room. Rooted in lived experiences of displacement and remembrance, the work invites visitors to reflect on identity, time, and the emotional landscapes we carry within us.

📍 Exhibition: 03–30 August 2026
📍 Grand Hotel Prishtina / Hajde Foundation

Ata sy si terr,
t’errët e t'thellë,
Si nata pa hanë,
pa dritë,
pa shpresë.
Shikimi i tyne,
nji mallkim i vjetër,
Që shpon si shigjeta zemrën.

Nën vetulla t'randa,
t’ngjeshuna fort,
Fshehin furtuna,
rrufe e stuhí,
Si deti i trazuem,
Ata sy st'falin...
Ata sy
