In the survey that we administered in 2025, 51% of students reported missing fewer days of school & 100% reported overall wellbeing improved after access to health education and period kits! Access changes outcomes! When students have the education and products they need, they stay in school, feel confident, and show up fully. This is what freedom looks like. July is Fibroids Awareness Month. Fibroids are common, but their impact is not experienced equally.

Black women face higher rates of fibroids and are more likely to experience severe outcomes related to diagnosis and treatment. Raising awareness about these disparities is an important part of improving menstrual and reproductive health.
Everyone deserves access to accurate information, timely care, and the ability to advocate for their health.
At Bilisummaa, we believe menstrual health education includes conversations about conditions like fibroids, endometriosis, PCOS, and other reproductive health topics that impact everyday life. by @bilisummaa

Thank you to everyone who participated in our Flow for Freedom fundraising event as we closed out Menstrual Health Awareness Month!
Thanks to your support and the generosity of our matching partner, we will be able to provide 150 students with health education and hygiene kits.
