10 years ago today, I drove out of ExxonMobil Headquarters for the last time. After 38+ years, I was no longer part of the corporate world. But, what a fun, and rewarding, life the last 10 years have been. Beyond blessed by a Great God. by @billccarp

My new book, ENCOUNTERS WITH CHRIST, is now available on Amazon.com.

ENCOUNTERS WITH CHRIST is a collection of devotionals to challenge young men, in high school and college, in their relationship with Christ.

In the New Testament, we see many people coming face-to-face with Jesus, with each of them responding to their encounter in a variety of ways. Some of those who encountered Jesus as he walked on earth repented of their sins and were promised a new life in eternity. Others were healed and removed from their life of disappointment, pain, and sickness. While others received a new perspective on God’s truth and were led to change the direction of their life.

Isn’t that the way it is with Christ? When you encounter the risen Savior, he changes everything—he makes you a new creation. As you encounter Christ in a new way, he will re-focus your attention away from worldly success and put a desire into your heart to fully follow him and make a difference for his kingdom. by @billccarp

This week, we witnessed evil in our country and the battle between good and evil was on full display. Family members of the man accused with the assassination of Charlie Kirk described him as “full of hate.”

How could someone be so full of hate toward a man who spoke the truth and message of Jesus Christ? Over 2,000 years ago, there were those who displayed that same hate toward a man who came in love to offer us eternal life. But yet, those in power and opposed to His message, sought to silence Him, as well.

Spiritual warfare is real and the devil is doing everything in his power to silence us and make us fight each other. But the truths that Jesus spoke will continue to live on and, as followers of Christ, we must be unwavering in carrying His message to those who need to hear the Truth, including those opposed to Him and His message. By continuing to speak boldly, we will not let the world and hate silence our witness or weaken our faith. In a world of hate, Jesus Christ is the only answer. by @billccarp

25 years ago I attended my 1st LakePointe youth camp as a leader where a young preacher named Clayton King told a story about a missionary in India who was being persecuted for his faith. That story changed the direction of my life. I just returned from my 23rd youth camp (dang COVID) where Clayton King was one of the speakers. Clayton’s talk changed the direction of more than 200 high school students’ lives forever. I had the honor of talking with Hudson in my small group and seeing him accept Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. God worked in a mighty way at camp. by @billccarp
