Well that’s it for our summer team trail. We were able to end on a fairly high note boating 18.17 pounds for our best five good enough for 4th, and potentially securing our spot in the TOC next month. Up and down season for us with three solid tournaments and three not so solid, but that’s how it goes. Most losing-ist sport there is, better be able to take a couple on the chin and keep moving. A year later, a pound heavier, and the same result… The old man and i put some time in trying to really dial in Osakis this year and it paid off. A 2nd place finish with 20.71 pounds feels pretty good especially after spending all day thinking we needed one more big fish to break the 20 pound mark. Been on a good roll these past couple weeks and just gotta keep the throttle down. taken in Pounds by @billduder

Catching yall up on some fishing shitz. Pre-spawn was an all time bite with MN opening up a year round catch and release season, it was fun targeting them in April. The week or so before our warm up was TOUGH fish were moving up and down the water column not really setting up on anything trying to get their thang on. We’re settled into the post spawn phase of things and the light is starting to shine bright on us bass fishermen. Oh also took a fourth place in our first derb of the year which is a great start for team of the year points. taken in HELL YEAH by @billduder

The old man and myself got our season started off on the right foot! This time of year can be so fun chasing bass around, mud bottoms and warmer water made for some tight groups of nice fish. taken in Muddy Bottoms by @billduder

Period Three 6:15pm-10:15pm
This period was by far the hardest mentally it felt like the sun was never going to set and the day would never come to an end. After my blunder in period 2 and not reaching my mileage goal of 100 miles, it felt like i was not going to keep up with the other top contenders. Around hour 10 i was in a dark mindset thinking i was falling behind and not doing good at all. I finally just took some time to actually snowboard a little and got myself out of the funk i was in. This is also the period where my physical well being started to go down hill. It was a commit now or stop pushing myself moment that put me back into trying again. This was my lowest period for all stats. 44.52 miles 158 laps 14,345 vertical feet.

Final Push 10:15pm-2:30am
Hell, hell is really the only word i could think of for describing the final period. Mentally i was all in, physically i was all out. The tank was on E and the rope was my biggest enemy. My track fully shows how worn out i actually was, just doing the same lap over and over and over again just trying to keep myself in it. I knew my goal of 200 miles was probably not going to happen as i need at least 60+ miles. I just didnt have that in me. I couldnt get comfortable on the rope and every little slip, hop, and movement took it further out of me. 12am to 2:00am felt like an entire day. I just had to keep pushing myself, everyone that was still in it going hard were delirious and beyond exhausted conversations were weird all our bodies felt off and it was all we could do to stay upright and moving. Big shout outs to @j4yv4 @kolekrier @nick_drye03 @micah_lee2008 @kyleknndy for being there for motivation and pushing me to my brink. This was a stong finish for me though at 48.99 miles 175 laps 15,877 vertical feet. My ending total of 191.8 miles is strong but it feels like i fell short, it feels like a missed opportunity and im still trying to convince myself i did good. But all in all im proud of myself and really pround of the group in general. I am going to do it again, i will reach 200. by @billduder

On friday 28 of us embarked on what would become one of the hardest endurance challenges i have ever been through. I never realized how long 16.5 hours (10am to 2:30am) really is. For quick stats mine sit like this.
•
191.8 total miles
675 total laps
61,175 total vertical feet

Period One 10am-2:15pm
This period was by far the easiest and probably most fun out of all of them and it shows in my track on strava. Vibes were really high and everyone was hyped to be in something as strange as The Longest Lap. We were trying to get as many miles as possible and still have fun on our snowboards and skis. I did take a pretty violent fall in this period but i didnt let it stop me.
It felt like a normal snowboard sesh for myself, as i tried to stay up on hydration and food intake with a couple quick breaks throughout. My stats at the end of period one sat at 51.67 miles, 182 laps, and 16,344 vertical feet.

Period Two 2:15:pm-6:15pm
Feeling pretty strong about what i had done in period one i knew i was on pace for what i wanted out of myself for period two. A lot of the field took a break after the first round so i knew it was a good time to stack some miles and keep going. I put on a quick 14-16 miles while everyone was on break and decided to give myself a good rest before stacking some more for the rest of the period. This is where my one of my biggest mistakes would come into to play. After break i started up again feeling really good about where i was at and the pace i was on. About 20 minutes into lapping again i went to check on how much battery my phone had and realized i wasnt recording for that 20 minutes after break. This SUCKED that was some legitimate mileage that wasnt going to count towards my total for the day, i would say anywhere between 3-5 miles. Mentally this really shook me i knew the time frame left in the period mixed with physical ability i probably wasnt going to hit my 50 mile goal for the period. I tried shaking it off as good as i could and didnt take a break for the rest of the period. Vibes were high within the group with all of us still hyped to be snowboarding together. 46.68 miles 160 laps 14.609 vertical feet. Periods 3&4 in post 2 by @billduder

My fishing season is all but wrapped now with the cold temps creeping in fast. It was a solid year for myself and the old man, spent a few times at the top in our tournament season, and boated two fish in that 6 pound range as well as plenty over 5. Always a sad time of year knowing i have to wait a few months to get er started again. Either way i love it and cant get enough of spending time on water, see yall on rope soon! taken in Goodbye by @billduder

Your boii took the W again this weekend weighing 19.62 with another 5 pounder anchoring my bag. Been on a bit of a hot streak this past month and half, out of my last five tournaments my lowest finish has been 5th, mixed in with two wins and a 2nd. Hopefully i can keep the ball rolling and finish out the year strong! taken in High Roller by @billduder
