My days are full of thinking about (something) carefully, before making a decision or reaching a conclusion.

I am pleased to announce that I have been appointed Nova Scotia’s new Police Complaints Commissioner.

I join with Justice Minister Barbara Adams in thanking the outgoing police complaints commissioner, retired provincial court judge Patrick Curran, for his years of dedicated service to the justice system and the citizens of Nova Scotia.

As police complaints commissioner, I am tasked with representing the public interest, balanced with fairness to the police without compromising accountability.

I am deeply honoured by the trust placed in me to represent the interests of Nova Scotia; and I look forward to working with my colleagues at the Office of the Police Complaints Commissioner. by @billmacdonald.ca
