When you can’t get your theatre fix cuz your actor son is 2584 miles away in theatre college, you go to see his former class mates and cast mates in a theatre double header. Lu Lu was in Our Lady of the San Diego Convention Center for a matinee at the Old Globe, then did a quick change and mile ride to PLP and joined SDSCPA grad and current sophomore Brissia and Mahal for the closing of Wolves. Great job ladies and especially Lulu palooza! by @billschneiderwind

Debi and I got to explore Boston for a few days before Anton arrived to move into Emerson for his College journey. Boston Common is a spectacular park literally across the street from the “vertical” Emerson campus. Saunders Castle hosted a fabulous King Tut exhibit. We got to see the Elephant Journey exhibit on the iconic Commonwealth Avenue promenade, and made our way back along the swanky Newbury Avenue with its high fashion shops. We stayed at an Air B&B in the edge of Chinatown and got to sample several of the great Asian cuisine. And of course we had dinner with Debi’s Boston area cousins who ventured into town for dinner and laughs at Legal Seafood and RSV in South Boston. We got to teach Anton and his new roommate Nate how to eat Lobstah and crab at the Barking Crab on the waterfront just down from the Boston Tea Party exhibit. Best Lobster I can remember. Emerson move in is an impressive , fabulously efficient and well oiled machine. Bitter sweet leaving our boy on the East Coast, but the Emerson staff, counselors, teachers and even trustees gave us confidence he is in good hands, and that this place is where he will connect with “his people” and change the world. by @billschneiderwind

Another surprise in a fortuitous week of the final stretch hit parade awards for High School. Emerson College bound Anton and his Point Park committed classmate Danika Mack are San Diego School of the Creative and Performing Arts Prom King and Queen 2026 by @billschneiderwind

So blessed and grateful to have attended this iconic rite of passage event for the best of the best in the High School Musical Theatre space in the USA. The top Musical Theatre Colleges in the US and indeed some from Europe converge on the Historic Palmer House in Chicago to put their next crop of triple threat student prospects through their paces. Litterally a combine for theatre kids. A grinding 5 days of singing, dance calls, and acting monologues end here in Illinois. On to LA for the fourth and final leg of this once in a lifetime tour. by @billschneiderwind
