Getting closer. Final fiddling with tank pipework and then it’s wire up the brake light switch, some minor tweaking to the fork adjustments and we’re good to go. Jeez it’s taken its time to get this one out of my head and into metal. Almost happy with the look, but Itching to ride it now! by @billspans

Back in the late 50’s early 60’s my dad used to blast around the North Circular to the Ace and down the Southend Arterial etc on a little Ducati Silverstone Super 175. Don’t be fooled by the diminutive size, these things were fast, handled better than most Brit bikes of the time and could manage over 90mph in Silverstone (UK only) trim. 62 years ago I came along and dad had to sell his pride and joy, which he has regretted parting with ever since. Now I’ve never been big on Italian bikes, but I always vowed that one day it’d be time to pay back and find one of these very rare little machines in honour of my dad. Well last week I got a bit carried away and let’s just say @bonhamsbikes made me do it 😂 . She needs some recommissioning work so watch this space. Dad, this one’s for you - love ya! by @billspans

Good morning from our lovely little stretch of the Waveney Valley. Some beautiful gnarly trees on the edge of the river around Scole Pocket Park and this is one of my favourites. Got back from our walk and Stan insisted on checking out Debs birthday flowers. Apparently he approves 😂 by @billspans

THE KEY: 30 years ago I bought a new 883 sportster ripped it down and built a tracker. When I sold it somehow I lost the spare key and years later it turned up in a house move. 30 years on and my son @willy_p_pokes has a lovely 1987 30th anniversary 1100 Sportster and when looking at the ignition lock I recognised the barrel serial number. Sure enough that 30 year old ignition key fits @willy_p_pokes sportster. Tell me that ain’t fate 🤣 by @billspans
