Some moments change a franchise.

Others change a neighborhood.

LeBron James @lebron is officially a Philadelphia 76er, and before he ever steps onto the court, his impact is already showing up in the streets.

This new mural by @billstro4_art , painted on the side of @javelinphilly in the heart of Fairmount, isn’t just another piece of public art. Just around the corner at Francisville Playground, kids lace up every day dreaming of moments exactly like this.

That’s what I wanted to document.

Not just the mural.
Not just the basketball court.
But the connection between the two.

Because that’s where Philadelphia’s basketball culture lives—not only inside the Wells Fargo Center, but on neighborhood courts, in conversations on the sidewalk, and in the communities that believe anything is possible.

This city has always embraced the game. Now one of basketball’s greatest players calls Philadelphia home.

Welcome to Philly, King James. 👑🏀

Here’s to the next chapter—for the Sixers, for the city, and for every kid shooting one more jumper around the corner, believing their story could be next.

Sometimes your child scores the game winning goal in a major national college championship game. Right!?
Or maybe your kid is the cutest player on his team-ball team… same thing!
Anyway, they should be immortalized!

LeBron out here in these streets! Gonna tighten him up later.
Thanks to @albirty and @javelinphilly for having me out and thanks to all of my Francisville and Fairmount neighbors for all the kind words as we worked!
