Hello! It’s “Beat Day” Friday! I’m not only playing drums on this track; I co-wrote it. It’s from the last Mantus album we did a few years ago to celebrate our 40th Anniversary. Happy Birthday (Saturday) to our lead singer, Frankie (Deac) @maerjim; Jimmy on guitar 🎸; the late John Kaz on bass; and yours truly on drums. Thanks to @vintdigstudio_crosswaystudio and Hal Cohen for setting this up spontaneously and recording it all in 20 minutes, unplanned. After not hearing it in a few years, I was surprised I did it in one take. I must say, “It’s a pretty good song!” Enjoy! #listentobillyamendola #mantusdisco Est.1976 by @billyamendola

Woke up early in Staten Island. Spent the morning in SoHo, NYC, at Park West Gallery for a Peter Max / Picasso private showing with Steve Garrin. Went to Brooklyn in the afternoon to see Peter, Elvis, and friends at Positano - went for a haircut in Bay Ridge. Now, off to sleep 💤. It was a good day. by @billyamendola

Why take lessons with me? Because you're not learning from a textbook — you're learning from decades behind the kit. 🥁

Real-world stage and studio experience, real musical life — passed on one-on-one, built around your goals and your pace. That's the whole idea: every student gets real attention, not a one-size-fits-all script.

I'm holding a limited number of private drum-lesson spots right here in Staten Island, NY. Beginners through experienced players — if you're serious about getting better, this is for you.

Thinking about lessons? Here are the answers to the questions I get asked most. 🥁

Who are they for?
Beginners through experienced players — from your very first beat to tightening up pro-level chops.

What do we work on?
Your goals, your pace. Technique and fundamentals, groove and feel, fills, playing with a click, studio and live performance skills.

Where?
Right here in Staten Island, NY — private, one-on-one lessons built around you.

How many spots?
Just a small number, so every student gets real attention.

Still on the fence? The first step is just an email.
