Pronghorns are the fastest land animals in the Western Hemisphere, able to reach speeds of 60mph (96 km/h)! They are the 2nd fastest land animals in the world, only beaten by the cheetah. Though pronghorns are top in the world for endurance running, as they are able to sustain a 35mph (56km/h) run for several miles at a time!

Look closely and you’ll see water flowing through these terraces at Mammoth Hot Springs. The water that flows through here comes from snow and ice from the Gallatin Mountains. This water seeps underground, traveling along a fault line from the Norris Geyser Basin, located 21 miles (33km) away. This is where the water is heated by magma and dissolves limestone to create the terraces.
