A bit late to the trend but here it is! Not pictured are the four WIPs I brought with me into 2026. I’m really proud of myself for the progress I’ve made and I want to share some things I learned in my first full year of knitting:
1. I’m capable of learning anything and everything!
2. It’s really not that serious! If my project is stressing me out I need to take a break.
3. We’re more likely to make knitting mistakes when we’re tired, hungry, frustrated, or stressed.
4. Deadlines for crafting are too overwhelming for me and I needed to let go of pattern testing.
5. Frogging to fix mistakes is almost always worth it.
6. There is such a thing as too many WIPs. IYKYK…
7. Knitting can help me calm down from emotional flashbacks. It’s become my favorite stim!
8. Selling my work isn’t worth it if I can’t charge it’s full value. I’m glad I tried it though!
9. I want to be a technical editor who specializes in size and gender inclusivity! I plan to start a technical editing course as soon as I can.
10. I’m endlessly creative and that’s a beautiful thing.

Hi friends, long time no see!! I’ve been feeling less drawn to posting as AI has become more and more pervasive on here but I miss y’all and I miss sharing my work with you! This is the First Cardigan by @jared_flood knit up in @badsheepyarn hand dyed worsted weight Superwash merino wool in the colorway Mr. Hyde. I’ve been calling it my Dream Sweater and I’m so damn proud of it!! by @binary___stars

One of my current WIPs that I’ll be selling when it’s finished 🍓🥰 I’m really proud of this vest!

I tried it on to get a better idea of how it’s looking but technically it’s a size 3X and I wear a 4X/5X, so it’s actually intended to be a bit looser and longer. I honestly still love how it looks as a more fitted top though. by @binary___stars
