What an absolute treat and honor it was to spend Halloween night in Malibu at @vandymanor! It was such an amazing experience from the animatronics to the brilliant stage performances, it was a truly magical evening! A huge thank you to @vandycampofficial, @official_dick_van_dyke, and especially @bijoubox for all their hard work and dedication to creating and hosting this amazing community event!

Some of the highlights included brilliant performances by the brilliant and talented @bijoubox and @brokenjuggler! It was also great finally getting to meet @captaintalltale and @alauradesign as well! Many thanks to @veritas.yoga for their gracious hospitality before the event too!

It was a night that will be remembered forever! 🧡🎃🖤 taken in Malibu, California by @binkitup

Earlier this year I had the pleasure of partnering once again with author Christopher Tremblay to help illustrate his newest children’s book titled “Walt’s Mineral King.” This book tells the story of Walt Disney’s failed Mineral King project. It was 59 years ago today on September 19, 1966 that Walt Disney gave his last public press conference where he spoke about his plans of developing a ski resort in Mineral King, California. Although Walt’s vision never became a reality, this book is a reminder that while not every dream comes true, sometimes those failures still result in something positive! 🎿📕✨

I am excited to share the final results of a project I’ve been working on over the past several months! As some of you may know, I was asked to illustrate Christopher Tremblay’s newest book “Walt’s Dreaming Tree.” This children's book is about The Dreaming Tree in Marceline, Missouri. It is the tree where Walt Disney spent a lot of time as a child. The book tells the story of how special this tree was to Walt and how it inspired him as a young boy growing up in rural central America.

The pages are filled with lots of nods and historical references to Walt’s life in Marceline, theme park references, and even a few hidden Mickeys! It has been such a fun project to work on with Christopher and I hope you can find room on your bookshelf for a copy! 🌳📕
