For Father’s Day, a little lore about @cadywong’s and my dad: Before he was just “dad” to us, Donald Wong broke racial barriers, competing in bodybuilding competitions in California alongside his brother, Gordon. Fun fact: Later, while running his bodybuilding magazine, Muscle Digest, he turned down a business venture with an upstart Arnold Schwarzenegger. Win some, lose some!

He stayed fit throughout his life, but always made room for potato chips and Tops chili cheese fries with us. Miss you every day, Dad. by @binnywong

We lost our sweet girl Bea earlier this month. Hard to let go of such a sweet, spunky girl, and much too soon. She was an itty bitty guard dog with a heart of gold. Thank you for protecting us, girl, and for eight years of unconditional love. Thank you for barking like a mad woman and making me laugh every time I teased you by dancing, which was illegal on your watch. (Fair. My moves are terrible.) We’ll be looking over your sister June in your stead.

We lost Rilo just a few days before. NOT itty bitty. A grand statesman of the cat world, he was a chatty Cathy, a treat lover and a Personality with a capital P. Thank you, sweet guy, for always being there to support Cady. You lived a few cat lives with her and us — nearly two decades — and what a friend you were.

We love you, Bea and Rilo. It was an honor to be your humans. by @binnywong
