Ahir ens vam estrenar amb el programa Geografia i Història a @dublab.es , el programa pretén contextualitzar musicalment un conjunt de punts i fets. En cada edició la idea és fer una espècie de monogràfic on es parli d'una escena musical.

Ahir vam voler parlar i escoltar una mica de la Tarragona Tropical de la dècada dels 90 així com algunes de les seves influències. Una evolució d'inicis més basats en el rock radical basc de caire ska-punk que van anar tendint cap a la inclusió de vents, més finura, menys distorsió i més Jamaica.

Primer programa, que també ha consistit en acostumar-nos a agafar mandos, a saber posar i treure temes, a pujar i abaixar el micro quan toca i sobretot a anar-nos "soltant" amb el parlar.

Ha estat espectacular l’experiència de posar discos al @mostrabcn un festival brutal i que ens representa en molts sentits. Per principis i sobretot per la sensibilitat musical que hi ha i la gent que ens ha acompanyat: els de sempre i nous amics dels que parlant dos segons sembla que els hagis conegut fa anys. Compartir el line up amb tanta gent increïble és un somni. Hem gaudit sense parar durant 4 dies. Gràcies al equip Mostra perquè això sigui possible a Barcelona i per haver-nos deixat incloure el nostre gra de sorra- de debò sou els millors! Poder treure a passejar els discos que més estimem (sortir de la música de club) i deixar-nos moure en total llibertat per on més ens flipa no és pot fer a gairebé cap lloc. Deixem aquí uns quants vídeos curts. Més endavant esperem publicar en un canal amic la gravació sencera de dues hores i ja explicarem i compartirem en més detall tota la història i evidentment el tracklist, “sharing is caring” amics! 𝐇𝐎𝐂 𝟎𝟓

HOC Radio presents the fifth edition of HOC, a night beginning at 𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐚 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐣𝐮ï𝐜 with three live acts exploring experimental music, before moving on to 𝐋𝐀𝐔𝐓 and gradually shifting the focus from deep listening towards the dancefloor.

𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐚 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐣𝐮ï𝐜 is the starting point for this new edition.

Opening the night is inbuilt obsolescence, Owain Arthur’s electroacoustic project, with a live set built from drones, field recordings, processed samples, guitar and improvisation, somewhere between ambient, jazz, psychedelia and experimental music.

Next, Katatonic Silentio presents a live set conceived for deep listening. Mariachiara Troianiello’s project moves between abstraction, musique concrète, ambient, dub and other forms of experimental electronic music.

Closing the programme at Casa Montjuïc is Inferno ζ, an audiovisual performance by Syoqh & Josephine’ Soundscapes. A series of ever-evolving performances where electronic music, visuals and sound design take on a different form each time.

Three live acts and three different approaches to sound, in a space made for listening, discovering and letting the music unfold without rushing.

HOC 05 then continues at 𝐋𝐀𝐔𝐓 with Binomi and Katatonic Silentio. The second part of the night moves towards the dancefloor, with a warm-up from Binomi followed by an extended set from Katatonic Silentio, taking that universe of dub, techno and experimental dance music somewhere else: towards sweating and dancing.

With a Casa Montjuïc ticket, 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐋𝐀𝐔𝐓 𝐢𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐥 𝟏𝐚𝐦.

El projecte de Jordi Aparicio i Joan Gila torna al festival per acceptar el repte de crear un mixtape GPS-triggered que acompanyi una ruta de descoberta en cotxe de l’espectacular paisatge de la Serra de Llaberia.

Allotjat des de la pàgina del festival, el mixtape s’activa segons la posició del vehicle en passar pels punts clau marcats al mapa. S’estrenarà el primer dia de festival i estarà disponible durant la resta de l’any.

El projecte ha estat comissariat per Marc Montañés, que els proposà la ruta i l’estructura narrativa GPS-triggered com a marc conceptual.

Son siempre de los primeros en llegar y de los últimos en marcharse del festival, pero nunca fallan a su cita previa con su programa para calentar motores de cara a la semana de Mostra...

Los chicos de #MostRadio nos traen una nueva entrega de su programa dedicado a Mostra’m, a la Fira, así como a los últimos detalles antes de que empiece #Mostra26 📻

Nos faltaba escuchar a nuestra compañero Jero, que este año ha hecho un trabajo enorme, no solo programando la actividad de French Affair de Mostra’m sino también con la ampliación de la Fira y el Open Call de los foodtrucks, entre otras mil cosas 🖤

Muchas gracias también Charlie por su participación, además de a Núria y Salva, de nuevo, por hacer que suene todo un poquito mejor 〰️

They are always among the first to arrive and the last to leave the festival, but they never miss their traditional pre-festival program to get warmed up for Mostra week…

The guys from #MostRadio bring us a new episode of their show dedicated to Mostra’m, the Fira, as well as the final details before #Mostra26 begins 📻

We were still missing hearing from our colleague Jero, who this year has done an enormous amount of work, not only programming the French Affair activity for Mostra’m but also expanding the Fira and organizing the food truck Open Call, among a thousand other things 🖤

Many thanks as well to Charlie for taking part, and to Núria, and Salva again for making everything sound just a little bit better 〰️

Binomi is the project of Jordi Aparicio and Joan Gila, born from a friendship forged through music and a constant exchange of records, recommendations, and sonic curiosities. DJs and collectors from Tarragona, they run the Mostra radio together with their colleague Javi, and have appeared on stations such as Dublab Barcelona with a program dedicated to exploring the history of musical movements across different territories. As Binomi, they have played in venues like Laut or Razzmatazz, and at festivals such as Mostra, Simbiosi, Digit, or Perpendicular.

This weekend we will be in Malta for the first #ExtraMostra of the season outside #Barcelona at an event that embodies the spirit of #ExtraMostra 100%.

This is a very special collaboration with local collectives Magma, Nexus and Unmute, who keep the Maltese scene alive and vibrant with their energy, music and events. People who share our passion for music, with whom we have shared dance floors as diverse as Paral·lel, Espacio Perpendicular, Masada Milano and about blank in Berlin, and with whom, over time, we have built relationships that make beautiful events like Saturday’s possible 🖤

We are particularly excited that Binomi is taking the sound of #Barcelona beyond our borders and sharing the bill with an international artist we have been eager to meet for some time: Vera Logdanidi 💫

All this accompanied by a team trip and a great desire to connect, dance and celebrate together the music that unites us. Thank you to everyone involved for making this possible 🫶

Una colaboración muy especial junto a los colectivos locales Magma, Nexus y Unmute, que mantienen viva y vibrante la escena maltesa con su energía, su música y sus eventos. Gente con la misma pasión por la música con la que hemos compartido pistas de baile tan diferentes como Paral·lel, Espacio Perpendicular, Masada Milano o about blank en Berlín y con la que, con el tiempo, se han construido relaciones que permiten eventos tan bonitos como el del sábado 🖤

Author’s note: In this set—beyond the water theme, where we play with certain field recordings that evoke it, like the dripping of irrigation systems, the Mediterranean Sea (since we are in Catalonia, with a poem by Ovidi Montllor at the beginning and another by Salvador Espriu near the end), rain, or even the washhouse itself—we also wanted to play with sunlight. Our set began in the sun and ended at night, and the musical progression was designed to follow that change.

DIGIT ( @digit_cat ) is a decentralized micro-festival of electronic music and digital art taking place on 12–13 September 2025 across Montbrió del Camp, Pratdip, and Reus (Tarragona). Organized by the cultural association El Rampell ( @el_rampell_ ) - based in Pratdip, about 150 km from Barcelona - the festival brings contemporary culture to rural settings and the wider Tarragona region.

As part of the program, Binomi will perform at Els Rentadors during the deep-listening journey, sharing the stage with Bastien, .apart, Perila, and ABSIS.

🌌 I hem deixat pel final un projecte de proximitat que és molt especial per a nosaltres: BINOMI.

Binomi és el projecte de Jordi Aparicio i Joan Gila, una proposta que neix d’una amistat forjada a través de la música i l’intercanvi constant de discos, recomanacions i inquietuds sonores. DJs i col·leccionistes de Tarragona, són responsables de la ràdio del festival Mostra juntament amb el seu col·lega Javi, i han participat en emissores com Dublab Barcelona, amb un programa dedicat a la història de moviments musicals en diferents territoris.

Com a Binomi han punxat en espais com Laut o Razzmatazz i festivals com Mostra, Simbiosi o Perpendicular. De tant en tant, orienten la seva activitat cap a sessions d’escolta ambientals i experimentals, on exploren sonoritats que van del preciosisme a paisatges més introspectius, amb ecos de psicodèlia, downtempo i textures atmosfèriques – com una mena d’abstracció sonora o banda sonora imaginativa. Aquesta faceta més horitzontal serà la que es podrà escoltar a la jornada d’escolta del festival DIGIT.

🛶 A més, una meitat de Binomi, el Joan Gila, ha estat un col·laborador decisiu en l'elaboració del lineup de l'esdeveniment de música d'escolta.
