My third year film for calarts is out on YouTube! Link in bio 😎

This film was a really long, arduous, but also fun ride that kept me extremely busy all year 😵‍💫

This was originally a storyboard assignment during my internship at Disney last summer with the prompt of a first date gone wrong. I didn’t know what exactly I wanted, but I knew that it had to have giant robots, giant monsters, and dancing. Throughout the development of it the wonderful story artists at Disney gave great feedback and notes, but it was especially because of my two wonderful mentors @emilyamiao and @tomcaulfield01 that this story became what it is. Tom really helped developed the character of Thugzilla and gave great ideas for the more comedic parts of the film. Emily really helped to push me in making the two main characters more specific and really getting into how they operate inside and outside the film. She also gave the idea for the ddr dance mat!!! Both of them pushed the story into the best shape it could be in terms of storytelling and character-I cannot reiterate enough times how much this film is attributed to them 🥹

My composer as well as my uncle @deonleecomposer really gave life to this film, every pass I received helped reinvigorate my excitement for this project 🙂‍↕️

Thanks as well for all the help received on this film!!! @seafridge_eeee and @robofishi were kind enough to lend help with painting some of the bg’s and @zechen_conner_wang did some fx/composting work for the beam shots along with @eggifer animating the lighting 😱

This film also would not have been possible without all the people who were generous to help color, it truly amazed me seeing their kindness and willingness to get this film done and it pushed me to finish at the last moment 🥲

Lastly thanks to everyone for all the kind words shared to me! It truly means the world seeing everyone who enjoyed the film and I feel very grateful and extremely lucky to have been a part of an incredible year of films 🫠 CALARTS 4EVER!!!!!!!! Please look forward to the next film 😌

Hello everyone! After many sleepless nights and tears shed, I’m happy to announce my second year film THE SCHOOL OF FIGHT is up on YouTube!!! Link in bio :]

Big thanks to @emilyginvo for voicing my main character Annie, @likelyleva for voicing Caitlyn, and @reillytoepfer for voicing Annie’s friend!! Without their incredible performances this film would not be possible.
I also want to give a HUGE shoutout to @ckuuart for helping to design the colors, I remember struggling really hard with choosing the right scheme and he swooped in with the most beautiful colors I’ve seen 😭😭😭 additionally another GIGANTIC shoutout to @zechen_conner_wang @judah.99 @kasiliko and @sarai_lee235 for helping color my film! Seriously they colored in like 2/3 of the film I genuinely would not have finished if it were for them 😳🫶🙏

Thank you everyone for the kind words you’ve shared with me when this film premiered at the open show this weekend too! I really appreciate it and I’m excited to see many incredible films next year 🤠 by @binsoo.lee

This is my family’s dog Astor. He is one of the most empathetic, compassionate, and earnest beings that I know. If you look into his eyes you’ll know what I mean. From the first day we knew that he was a truly special dog, he seems to look right into your soul whenever you lock eyes with him and takes all your troubles away…I really don’t know any other dog like him.

Yesterday he was diagnosed with Leptospirosis, a bacterial infection that damages his kidneys and liver. He’s currently hospitalized for now, but the costs are a lot to upkeep. My brother @ddeockz has set up a gofundme for anybody who can help out. Please consider donating or sharing, it really means a lot and it would help Astor make a speedy recovery, you can find the link in my bio.
