Most people don’t understand the difference between Category 1, Category 2, and what yesterday’s FDA notice actually means for compounding pharmacies. I do. And I’m breaking it all down for you. The timeline. The 12 peptides. The process. Save this. #PeptideAcademy #Biohacking #FDA2026 #CompoundingPharmacy #Longevity taken in Frisco, Texas by @biohackingdude

The “gentler” weight-loss drug headlines are only half the story.

Amylin drugs dominated EASD this week. One combo beat tirzepatide on weight loss. Another amylin drug had GI side effects close to placebo.

But more power came with more dropouts. That trade-off is the real headline.

All of these are investigational and not FDA approved. Talk to your physician about what’s right for you.

“CagriSema beats tirzepatide.” Not so fast. 🧬

In REIMAGINE 5, CagriSema produced 12.4% weight loss vs 9.1% for tirzepatide at 60 weeks. But tirzepatide was tested at a low dose, not its max.

The bigger story is amylin, the next hormone target in metabolic medicine.

CagriSema is still investigational. Not FDA approved.

Follow for the fine print.

“Ozempic blindness” is trending. Here’s the number the headlines skip. 👁️

NAION is a rare condition where blood flow to the optic nerve drops and vision loss follows. Europe’s regulator now lists it as a very rare semaglutide side effect, and 200+ lawsuits are moving forward.

Estimated risk: about 3 to 4 per 10,000 people who start a GLP-1.

Know the signs. Talk to your physician. Don’t make changes on your own.

Follow for GLP-1 news without the panic.

A UCLA review of 565 studies says peptide marketing is outrunning the science.

I agree. And I still think peptides are one of the most exciting areas in longevity.

Both things are true. Most data is early: cell and animal work.

That’s not a reason to ignore it. It’s a reason to be honest about it and work with a company/physician who tracks your response.

I’d rather lose followers telling you the truth than gain them overselling.

Educational only. Not medical advice.

The “research use only” era is ending, and most people buying peptides online have no idea.

Early September, the FDA posted warning letters to multiple online peptide sellers in one sweep. The disclaimer didn’t matter. Marketing did.

At the same time, an FDA advisory panel recommended six peptides move toward legal compounding. Not final yet. But the direction is clear: physician oversight is where this is heading.

Follow for peptide news without the hype.

Your sauna can protect your heart, or it can put you at risk ⚠️🔥

Avoid these 3:
💧 Water only → add electrolytes (16–24 oz per lb lost)
⏱️ Too short, too rarely → 15–20 min, 4–7x/week
🚫 Alcohol + heat → a bad combo for your blood pressure and heart

Which one were you doing? Be honest 👇
Educational only, not medical advice. Check with your doctor if you have a heart condition, are pregnant, or take medications.

Four steps. Zero complicated morning BS.

❄️ Get cold
🏋️ Move heavy things
🔥 Sweat
💼 Go handle business

Some people call it excessive. I call it being fully awake before answering my first email.

Which step are you most likely to skip?

“NORMAL” LAB RESULTS DON’T ALWAYS MEAN OPTIMAL HEALTH. 🧬

One of the biggest changes I’d like to see in healthcare is a greater focus on prevention and personalization — not simply waiting until disease develops.

Reference ranges can be incredibly useful, but they’re only one part of the picture. Cholesterol and cardiovascular health are a great example: LDL-C matters, but understanding markers such as ApoB, Lp(a), triglycerides, HDL-C, blood pressure, glucose/insulin metabolism, family history and overall cardiovascular risk can provide much more context.

And nutrition shouldn’t automatically mean following one generic diet. An evidence-based approach should consider the individual, their metabolic health, lifestyle, goals and risk factors.

Conventional medicine is essential for diagnosing and treating disease. Functional, preventive and longevity-focused medicine can add another useful question:

How can we identify risk earlier and improve health before disease develops?

That’s the healthcare evolution I want to see.

💬 What do you think: Should healthcare focus more on prevention and optimization—or are we already taking optimization too far?

⚠️ Educational content only. This post isn’t medical advice, and “optimal” laboratory targets aren’t universal. Individual results and cardiovascular risk should be interpreted with a qualified healthcare professional.

AOD-9604 has been discussed in longevity and metabolic research for years—but it isn’t simply “another fat-loss peptide.”

Researchers have studied it because it appears to influence fat metabolism differently than full human growth hormone, without increasing IGF-1 signaling. Early research suggested it may support lipolysis while reducing lipogenesis, although human clinical trials have shown mixed results and development as a pharmaceutical obesity treatment was discontinued.

The real takeaway isn’t that AOD-9604 is a miracle—it’s that understanding mechanisms is more valuable than chasing trends.

⚠️ Educational content only. AOD-9604 remains investigational in many contexts. This content is not medical advice and should not be interpreted as a recommendation to use any specific compound.

YOUR MITOCHONDRIA ARE SENDING YOU A SIGNAL. MOST PEOPLE STOP HEARING IT IN THEIR 40s. 🧬

In 2015, scientists at USC discovered something extraordinary buried inside your mitochondrial DNA.

A 16-amino acid peptide that acts as a metabolic hormone — activated by exercise and stress — that regulates fat burning, insulin sensitivity, inflammation, muscle preservation, and aging.

They called it MOTS-c.

And its levels decline with every passing decade.

Here’s what peer-reviewed research has established:
→ Activates AMPK — the same pathway triggered by exercise and fasting
→ Reverses diet-induced obesity and insulin resistance in animal models
→ Restores mitochondrial function in diabetic heart tissue (2025, Frontiers in Physiology)
→ Significantly reduces bone mass loss — relevant to osteoporosis
→ Rises in human blood and muscle during exercise — it IS part of why exercise works
→ Reduced in Alzheimer’s patients — being studied for neuroprotection
→ Suppresses ovarian cancer cell growth without systemic toxicity (2024, Advanced Science)
→ Centenarians carry specific MOTS-c genetic variants linked to exceptional longevity

For clinicians: the patient populations most relevant to this research include T2DM, metabolic syndrome, postmenopausal women, sarcopenia, diabetic cardiomyopathy, and early-stage oncology research.

For everyone else: if you’re over 40 and your body feels like it’s not responding the way it used to — your mitochondrial signaling may be declining. This is the science explaining why.
We are in the early innings of mitochondrial medicine. MOTS-c is at the center of it.

Human clinical trials are coming. The science is building fast.
