hey guys, i just wanted to take a quick moment to share some thoughts...

a couple days ago, i set out on my first big roadtrip in my life. I've always wanted to do something like this growing up, but timing, money, or my comfort zone have always held me back.

but now im finally on the road, and slowly making my way. im 26 hours away from home (2500kms), and ive experienced a rollercoaster of emotions since.

at first, the first few nights were scary. the very first night actually, I was hit with a bad thunderstorm and was forced to park at a creepy little diner in a small empty town. didn't sleep much that night, woke up many times in the middle of the night cuz of the thunder, and the spooky vibes of the little town I was in.

but the next few days got better. found better spots to sleep, started finding some beautiful scenery, beaches, lakes, rivers, lookouts, everything, and slowly I got used to living on the road.

since then, I've met some wonderful people, had some lovely conversations, and seen some of the prettiest views of my life.

I'm so glad that I finally did this, but there is one thought that has constantly been bugging me, and that is to "slow down".

I don't know if it's because I was raised in the city, or if it's because I have ADHD, but it feels like I'm conditioned to just "GO GO GO" all the time, and I know for a fact that many of you probably feel the same...

But I've been trying to slow it down lately, to take everything in, and to really appreciate the world around me. took a bit of getting used to, but now I feel more immersed than ever and it finally feels like I'm "living life", than simply going through the motions.

this world is so beautiful y'all. I know its easy to focus on what's next, but it takes a different attitude to truly live in the moment.

this timelapse for example, I stopped on the middle of the highway as I noticed the beautiful sun start to set, and just let myself enjoy it.

anyways, I know that life can get complicated, and that our days are numbered, but it's always worth slowing down, especially when the sky turns pink :)
