Just 2 months ago, my sister in law was diagnosed with breast cancer, on the heels of losing her mother to cancer. She was also in the process of closing her beautiful brick and mortar wellness boutique- it was everything all at once. She is healing from her surgery and making the most beautiful moves… the universe asked her to slow down.. and so she and her husband just finished building out The Slow Down Studio by @mascotaesthetic . It’s stunning. It’s been inspiring to watch her dreams come to life- and witness this resilience and growth.They built it on the same grass where her mom danced in the rain just days before she left us earth side. This wellness studio is surrounded by gardens and the most stunning view of the Santa Clarita Valley. I’m so proud of her and her talented husband @jpcarey … this place is filled with love and happiness and is a place to go heal, get an organic facial with @botniaskincare products, or microbladed by the best in SoCal! ✨Flowers are home✨ lately, I’ve felt super disconnected from myself, my people, my passions. If you know me, you know I go hard- I put 110% into everything I do- always putting this self imposed pressure to be the best. 18 months ago, I took a leap of faith and started a career in real estate @ameliaposadahomes . It’s been a remarkably great start, because I literally put it above everything else in my life. I took a big step back from my safe place: flowers. I had to. I chose to. I think I felt this self imposed pressure to be a full time real estate agent- I had to somehow downplay that I’ve been a florist since I was 14 years old- that’s 30 years of flowering! I’ve been working 6-7 days a week for the last 18 months. I’m at my floral studio every Monday-doing my weeklies, then off to real estate land. I have not allowed myself to slow down. Today, as I cried on my way to the flower market- I got a reminder from my wife, to slow down, enjoy my creative time in the studio and to lean into that energy. She was right- I need to slow down, to be grateful that I’m still flowering, people still want my art. I truly stopped to smell the sweet peas, to notice the tiny tendrils wrapped around the stems of the glorioso lily…I cannot tell you how grateful I am to be seen after all these years, for my floral work. It truly does feed my soul, now more than ever. I may only get one full day in my studio each week- but it is forever going to be my home, my happy place, my outlet. It’s my birthday week, and I always get the blues this week… but today I’m releasing , I’m basking in flowers and so happy to be home. ✨🤗🌸😘 HAPPY CANCER SZN🦀🥹🥲🔮 taken in Los Angeles, California by @birchandbone

Today was the most Monday of all Mondays. I was already sleep walking when I made it to the flower market this morning, and was met with both elevators out of order in my flower studio 👹😵‍💫 so I made a few trips up and down a million flights of stairs and set up an impromptu workshop in the loading dock and crushed out my weeklies! 💅🏽💪🏼🌸 this week’s blooms literally have my blood sweat and tears 🤪❤️ LOVE YOU! Offering 2 looks this year-all are on a 12” grapevine base and span wild and big. All wreaths are offered at $185, and delivery is $25- no pickups this year 🥰🎄
