In 2020, I started writing poetry. I didn’t know why or where that journey would take me, especially after being a screenwriter and freelancer in the film industry for over a decade. But after countless revisions, I am honored that Nat 1 Publishing is giving life to my first chapbook, Baptized by Earthquake: Poems about Hollywood. If you want to read a story told through poetry about finding light in the darkest of shadows, you can purchase my book at the link in my bio. As always, God is good. by @bird.the.writer

Snoopy always seems to finds me and that is a wonderful, cozy comfort in this very serious, tech-weary, modern world. #snoopy by @bird.the.writer

Some poems take months to come together. Toiling over each word, each sound, each image. This one emerged in a day. Thank you to @soma_publishing_ for publishing it in the June issue of Ariel Chart International Literary Journal and believing in my work from the beginning. Link in bio to read :) #poetry #writerlife by @bird.the.writer

A glorious whirlwind of a trip to watch @brittanyvgates and @general_schlizz get married. There are moments that provide purpose and you know you’re in the right place at the right time. Being a part of their wedding was exactly that. Also, I may retire in Lake Arrowhead with @rythedesigner and dedicate myself to mountain living. #coolestweddingeveraward #lakearrowhead by @bird.the.writer
