What do we think of this for the ART MONK album cover??

I got a drawing of the Lambo Calrizzian by rare scrilla.

The rest of the art is mine. All references from the album. Bottom left corner counterclockwise. Colin Kaepernick, Julie Andrew’s as Mary Poppins, Dante Bosco as Rufio, Hippopotamus, Trugoy the Dove, Val Kilmer as Doc Holliday, an Elephant, a pow wow participant, Art Monk (of course) and Biff Tannen. I also included a dove, and a childhood picture, and a picture of me at Classon Avenue in Brooklyn

I think it’s one of my best, most accessible, pop album.

Spent a few hours working on the artwork to my upcoming album about death. If you’re a film buff or a cinephile, this should be an easy reference for you. Thought it was fitting given my love of chess. Which variant do you prefer?

The original idea was to make an album and release it somehow after I die, as a “last”, “final”. or “posthumous” album. I heard about how Chino XL did this before he passed, and I thought it was an interesting concept.

Now get it straight, I don’t plan on dying anytime soon, hopefully I live for much longer, but I thought it would be cool to have an album ready just in case, or one in my discography that people can refer to, “cause you never know when you’re gonna go” as AZ says, it could happen anyday.

I think I am going to drop the album in time for 2027, Lord willing. Just consider it a case of those people who stage funerals while they are still alive so people can attend and tell them how much they mean to them, and they get to witness it. You all can give me flowers when the album drops.

I am calling it “Death Is The Only Deadline”, which means that everything can be put off until your death, you can still change, grow, and evolve as long as you are here in the physical, it’s all practice until it isn’t. I got the idea from a line by A.G. that I say all the time, “You’re not old until you’re dead”. by @birdboogie

Up early and tomorrow is my birthday.
It’s been a minute since I’ve had a birthday party.
This past year…it was a mix of being stressful as I was being challenged in my artistic paths, my health, my work life, and all my relationships. But at the time, I learned to grow more spiritually, be better about taking care of myself, develop more as an artist, and really enjoy spending time with my family and my communities.

Furthermore, Goldbrick Heavyweights is the one thing that me in the 8th grade would have never thought I’d ever create. I remember drawing bootleg Karl Kani designs on sketch pads. Years later, after just exploring other avenues, I went back to an idea I considered and saw it through. Ignoring past bad advice and embracing actual productive criticism.

But ith all that said, it’s a good reason as to why this bday bash should go down tomorrow. I have the first batch of misprints of my first batch of shirts (collector’s items) from Goldbrick Heavyweights. Who knows…I might actually get those stickers tomorrow, USPS is either lying to me or unsure. But definitely come thru if you’re around.

We got the homies Earley Bird and Dumi Right in the building. And all the way from Seattle, WA on their east coast tour, we have Shubzilla and Bill Beats of Noir Grime. It all goes down at Galactic Panther: gallery on 10.01.26. Definitely come thru if you’re around! by @birdboogie

Computer of ten years had to be rebooted. Luckily, the day before it crashed, I uploaded a copy of the ART MONK album onto a USB. Divine timing, as all of my files were lost. by @birdboogie
