4 days until May the 4th. 🌌✨

There’s no better way to countdown to Star Wars Day than with the moment that defines “Hope.”

This scene at the end of The Empire Strikes Back is often seen as a defeat, but look closer. Everything seems lost. Han is captured, the heroes are wounded, yet they stand together, looking out into the unknown, ready to continue the fight.

I built this MOC to capture that specific “quiet before the storm.” The vastness of the galaxy through the window vs. the small, determined group inside. It’s a reminder that even when the odds are against us, we keep moving forward.

The ultimate gravity slingshot.

I built the most crucial phase of the Artemis II mission using zero flexible parts.

To ensure a precise return, NASA uses a Free Return Trajectory. It is a figure eight path that harnesses the gravity of the Earth and Moon to slingshot the Orion spacecraft back home.

The hardest part to build? Mapping this curved path for the Orion using only rigid LEGO bars and clips. No hoses. No string. Just pure geometry.

I also repurposed my old Death Star MOCs to build the Earth and Moon for this diorama.
