Sword-billed Hummingbird / Kilic Gagali Kolibri (Ensifera ensifera)

Here is the unbelievable bird which has the longest bill in relation to the body size of all birds in nature. I was very happy to capture the good shots of this beauty as the way i wanted to. Found in the temperate zone of the Andes from Venezuela to Bolivia, from around 2,500m to 3,500m. Occurs in montane forest and edges, where it uses its bill to feed from long tubular flowers.

Iste karsinizda cok ozel bir tur. Dunyadaki tum kuslar icinde vucuduna gore en uzun gagaya sahip kus. Bu guzelligi istedigim gibi fotograflayabildigim icin oldukca mutluyum. And Daglari'nda 2500 ile 3500 m arasinda, daglik ormanlarda bulunur. Bu ozel gagasiyla uzun tuplu ciceklerin nektarlariyla beslenir.

Ruddy Kingfisher / Kızıl Yalıçapkını
(Halcyon coromanda)

I was waiting for a good shot of this beauty for a very long time, each time it was far away or between the branches. I've waited for almost six hours for the perfect moment. Finally i managed to take the shots. Dark rusty-orange kingfisher with thick lipstick-red bill. Bright azure blaze on rump most evident on flying birds. Shy and seldom seen in the open, instead preferring heavily shaded waterways in thick, tangled forests

Bu guzelligin cok uzun zanandir pesindeydim. Ya uzakta ya cok karanlikta ya da dallar arasinda oluyordu. Bu sefer kararliydim ve yaklasik alti saat bekleme sonucunda istedigim sekilde cekebildim. Muthis renklerini tam ortaya cikarabilmek icin uygun isik en onemli konuydu. Oldukca utangactir, aciklikta gormek cok zordur. Karisik ormanlarin los su kanallarinda bulunur.

Long-tailed Broadbill / Uzun Kuyruklu Genişgaga (Psarisomus dalhousiae)

It was really hard to take a picture of this almost surreal beauty, i made long trips three times. In the first two trips it was between the branches or far away or bad background. Finally at my third attempt i could take these pictures. Cold weather, hot weather, dark, rain..it was challenging but it worth. This guy was busy carrying stuff to its nest. Moves through the middle and upper layers of the forest in small to medium-sized flocks.

Bu karikatur gorunumlu neredeyse gercekustu guzelligi cekebilmek icin uc ayri gun gece 3'te kalkip yola cikip, yagmur, soguk, sicak karanlik gibi sorunlara ragmen ugrastim. Ilk iki gun ya uzaktaydi, ya dallarin arasindaydi ya arkaplan kotuydu vs..Sonunda ucuncu gun denemde kisa bir sureligine de olsa istedigim pozlari yakaladim. Yuvasina cali cirpi goturmekle mesguldu. Ormanlarda agaclarin orta ve ust kisimlarinda olur. Kucuk suruler halinde bulunabilir.

Red-tailed Comet / Safo (Sappho sparganurus)

This hummingbird is a specie of Andes mountains of mostly Peru Bolivia birder to Argentina. Generally found in open areas mostly around flowering cardon cacti and tree tobacco

And Daglari'na ait bu sinekkusu Peru Bolivya sinirindan Arjantin'e kadar olan bolgelerde gorulur. Genellikle acik alanlarda Cardon Kaktus'u veya tutun agaclarinda bulunurlar. Fotografladigim birey disi.

Black-capped Tanager / Kara Takkeli Tangara (Stilpnia heinei)

I just saw this male black capped tanager once during my trip in South America. Considerably small and active Andean specie. Found in subtropical forest, edges, and gardens.

Guney Amerika'da sadece bir kez gorebildigim, And Daglari'na ait, kucuk ama oldukca aktif bir turdur. Subtropikal ormanlarda, orman kenarlarinda ve ormana yakin bahcelerde bulunur. Fotograftaki birey erkek.

Brown-capped Redstart / Boz Alınlı Ötleğen (Myioborus brunniceps)

After two hours of waiting i finally managed to take a few shots of this beauty. He was quite active from one branch to another mostly hiding. Warbler of montane forest in Bolivia and northwestern Argentina. The broken white eye-ring helps distinguish it from other redstarts in Bolivia, and it is the only redstart found in Argentina

Uzun bekleyis sonucunda birkac kare alabildim. Bir daldan bir dala ucan cogunlukla gizlenen bu guzel otlegen Bolivya ve Kuzeybati Arjantin'de daglik ormanlarda bulunur. Arjantin'deki tek redstarttir.

This one is female and completely different in colors than the male. Found in young forests or forest edges, mostly in dense undergrowth, single or in pairs

Disisi renk olarak erkeginden tamamen farkli turlerden birisi. Fotografini cektigim bu birey disi. Daha sonra erkegi de paylasacagim. Genc ormanlarda ve orman sinirlarinda, yogun bitki ortusunde gizlenirler. Tek veya ciftler halinde bulunurlar.

Andean Motmot / And Motmotu
(Momotus aequatorialis)

I missed the oppurtunity twice in the forest, at last i found it with a insect it already caught in the open. The name “motmot” comes from the double-hooting call. Found in forest and forest edges usually perched quietly in the midstory of mossy subtropical forest.

Iki kez ormanda aniden agaclarin arasinda mavi mavi ucusunu izlemistim kisa bir sure de olsa, aslinda kacirmistim. Sonunda yeni yakaladigi bocekle aciklikta bulup cekebildim. Ismi cikardigi ikili sesten gelir. Orman ve orman sinirlarinda sessizce yosunlu agaclarda tunemisken gorulur.

This lovely beautiful bird lives in South America. When you see it you are stunned with its striking colors. Found in pairs or small flocks in forest and edges, often in mixed feeding flocks from midstory to the canopy. Feeds on fruit.

As most of you already know, this beautiful colorful bird lives in marshes especially with lots of vegetation. This huge yellow legs helps him walk on lily pads. Distribution from southeast US to South America

Speckled Hummingbird / Çilli Kolibri (Adelomyia melanogenys)

Another beauty of Andes. Forages low around 1000-3000m. DIstinctive black cheek and pale buffy eyebrow and the square tail seperates from hermits.

And Daglari'na ozgu bir sinekkusudur. 1000-3000m irtifalarda bulunur. Goz kenarindaki beyaz yama ve gogsunde ve bogazindaki noktalar dikkat cekicidir.
