Another trip around the sun has me nostalgic for this day last year…

Time spent with family & loved ones, whether in this country or another, is the best indicator of a birthday well spent.

Rest In Peace, Abu.⠀
⠀
You were my best friend, my son, my direwolf & someone who was always there for me.⠀
⠀
You turned 7 years old only two weeks ago, but were taken from us far too soon because of a stupid tumor that no one noticed 😭. I wish I could have done more but am thankful it happened as quickly as it did so you didn’t have to suffer. The strength you showed from the beginning of your life until the end is nothing short of legendary. ⠀
⠀
If you aren’t familiar with the story, I rescued Abu at a year old after he was viciously abused & neglected the first year of his life. From the moment his super fluffy-self entered my world we became inseparable & shiiiiit he even looks like me 😎😂 I’m eternally grateful that his soul, his spirit, chose some guy named Bird to share this life with. I don’t think I’ll ever understand what I could’ve done to deserve your presence but I will be forever grateful. ⠀
⠀
If anyone has pictures or videos or memories please feel free to share. I know Abu meant a lot to a lot of people. ⠀
