Making an impact takes a village. A loving partner @grrldani who motivates me to make bigger impacts in the world. A supportive mother like @hitgirl1963 who carries the bag, mans the table and does the hard work others won’t see. A father @melvinalguire who brings out fellow MoBros and encourages donations. And dozens of friends - old and new. I’m thrilled to see our growth this past year - but not yet satisfied. I’ll be focused - 365 days of the year on making year 5 unforgettable - with the help of a village ♥️ by @birdie_thon

First round of #movember with the guys @birdie_thon a brilliant cause raising money for men’s health. In November this year I will be donating for every birdie I make. First round was at Portobello Golf Club in Edinburgh.

Birdiethon 2026 is on! Trying to birdie every hole on Iona. Not in order, sometimes multiple balls on several holes at a time. Link in bio! Some teammates think I'll do it no bother, some say no chance!

Next Sunday, I’ll be at Badlands Golf with a handful of other guys taking part in @birdie_thon , raising money for @movember.ca.

The challenge is pretty simple: play golf, make as many birdies as we can, and raise some money for men’s health along the way.

I sat down with the founder of Birdiethon, @archergolfs to talk more about the challenge.

What’s a place that’s had a big impact on you? When you think back to childhood, adolescence, and into adulthood - is there a place that you think back on that changed you? Or shaped who you are today?

There’s something disarming about sharing personal things with strangers. Maybe it’s because there’s no history or maybe it’s because you know you likely won’t ever see that person again. But for whatever reason, I’ve noticed that strangers tend to open up about what’s going on in their life and it’s happened to me quite a bit.

In my recent chat with Alex, we dive into this a bit more and why that may be.

Curious if anyone else has had these moments with strangers?

Do you have a personal mission statement? How about values?

In my recent chat with Alex Archer, we touched on the personal mission statement and the ripple effect of smiles.

I recently sat down with the founder of @birdiethon - Alex Archer.

We talked about the upcoming event in support of @movember but we also talked about a lot more. Here’s a sneak peek at our conversation. I’ll be sharing some clips throughout the month.

Big thanks to Alex for taking the time to sit down and chat with me. And if you want to get involved check out @birdiethon for more info on how you can support or take part.
