WOW WOW WOW! The Great horned owls of Hamilton Field!!

I’m excited to introduce you all to the owl family that has been waking us up every night for the past week with their hooting and yelling. 😆

We came home at the perfect time to hear them calling, so we dropped our stuff, grabbed our e-bikes and raced up the hill!

Two beautiful GHOs perched in the tree tops baked in a colorful sunset.

So many wonderful pictures to share. This was such a treat!! 🤩 taken in Novato, California by @birdingwithmo

Finding this family of GHOs has definitely put owls at the top of my list for coolest finds. Something about racing against the light to get the perfect shot is so much fun and so challenging. I really really hope to see them again. 😍 I mean look at them! taken in Novato, California by @birdingwithmo

Oh hey, another kite! I’ve been off my birding game lately. I hope to get back to it soon! Until then…the kites who live in the hills behind my home shall be the main photo practice :) taken in Hamilton Army Airfield by @birdingwithmo

The ghosts of Hamilton Field have a family! 👻
This young white tailed kite was sparring with his parents, practicing aerial hand offs and vocalizing.

It was so fun to see!
