Hi, I’m Teresa.

And if you’re new here, I thought it was time to properly introduce myself.

I’m a wife, a mom of two amazing girls, a writer, a 200-hour yoga instructor, and a Somatic & Energy Healing Practitioner.

But before any of that, I’m a woman who knows what it’s like to struggle.

For years, I’ve lived with chronic pain, fatigue, anxiety, overwhelm, and the frustration of feeling disconnected from my own body.

I’ve spent nights wrapped in heating pads, surrounded by pillows, wondering why simple things felt so hard.

I’ve experienced burnout.
I’ve experienced grief.
I’ve experienced the pressure of trying to hold everything together while quietly falling apart inside.

And while I don’t have all the answers, I do know this:

Healing isn’t about becoming someone new.

It’s about finding your way back to yourself.

That’s what led me to breathwork, meditation, gentle movement yoga, energy healing, hypnosis, and nervous system work.

Not because I read about them in a book.

Because I needed them.

I’ve been fortunate to find people and practices that helped me through some of my hardest seasons. Now I want to pay that forward by creating gentle spaces where women can breathe, heal, and reconnect with themselves.

A place where women don’t have to pretend they’re okay.
A place where healing doesn’t require perfection.
A place where you can soften, breathe, move gently, and feel supported exactly as you are.

Over the next while, I’ll be sharing more about chronic pain, nervous system healing, burnout, gentle movement, breathwork, meditation, and the realities of healing in everyday life.

If any of that resonates with you, I’m so glad you’re here.

Tell me something about yourself in the comments. I’d love to get to know you 🤍

Xo, Teresa

We all have a story. We are made of the stuff that should have broken us but didn’t. All the fires and storms We have gone through but We are still here, still standing, still breathing.... We are not broken, We are strong. We are beautiful just the way We are ❤️✨ by @birdsetfree111

This post was hard to share…
Not because I’m ashamed, but because being vulnerable isn’t always easy for me. I’m not looking for sympathy. I simply believe that if I’m going to encourage others to find peace within their pain, I have to be willing to show what that looks like in my own life too.

Some days I do it well… and some days I’m angry as h*ll… Both can exist at the same time.

Thank you for being here and for allowing me the space to share this part of my journey.

If you’re going through something difficult right now, whatever it may be, I’m sending you love and strength 🥰 by @birdsetfree111

We spend so much of our lives focusing on what’s wrong.

The pain.
The stress.
The endless to-do list.
The things we wish were different.

But your nervous system can’t always tell the difference between what you’re repeatedly focusing on and what you’re repeatedly experiencing.

Gratitude isn’t pretending life is perfect.
It’s intentionally giving your mind and body a moment to notice what feels safe… what feels good… what is still here.

Just one minute of breathing while thinking about someone you love, a place that brings you peace, or even the simple fact that your lungs keep breathing for you can gently shift how your body feels.

Will it solve everything? No.

But small practices, repeated consistently, can change the way you move through your day.

Today, pause for one minute.
Take a slow breath in.
Think of one thing you’re grateful for.
Breathe it into your heart.
Then let that feeling spread through your body as you exhale.

Sometimes healing doesn’t begin with fixing what’s broken.
Sometimes it begins by remembering what’s already beautiful.

What is one thing you’re grateful for today? I’d love to read it below. by @birdsetfree111

Fourteen years.

It honestly feels like I was standing there saying “I do” just last week.

People often ask what love looks like. For me, it looks like Bill. It’s the man who still gives me butterflies after all these years. The one who still makes me laugh, still excites me, and still feels like my safest place.
But even more than that… it’s the man who never walked away when life got hard.

Billy, you stood beside me through years of chronic pain, surgeries, uncertainty, tears, and days when I wasn’t sure I’d ever feel like myself again. You never asked me to be someone different. Just simply loved me exactly as I was, and reminded me of my strength when I couldn’t see it myself.
Before you, I thought I knew what love was.

I didn’t.

Love isn’t just the big moments. It’s choosing each other over and over again. It’s holding hands through the hard seasons. It’s showing up when things aren’t easy. It’s finding joy in the ordinary days.

Thank you for being my best friend, my biggest supporter, and one of the greatest gift this life has given me… (the other 2 are our girls 💖💖)

Happy Anniversary my love. I’d choose you all over again ♥️💋

The last few days, my body asked me to rest.

So I listened.

I’ve been puppy sitting the sweetest girl, and while Bill took the girls to his parents for a couple of days, I realized something…

I didn’t have to fill every free moment. So I didn’t.

I floated in the pool.
I practiced yoga.
I meditated.
I read an entire book.
I watched movies I never get to watch when the girls are home.
I rested.

I still worked. I still took care of my responsibilities. I simply chose not to add more to my plate.

A few years ago, I would’ve felt guilty. I would’ve worried about not posting, staying consistent, or falling behind. But now I see it differently.

If I can’t listen to my own body, how can I ask others to listen to theirs?

This is what listening looked like for me this week. It wasn’t anything extraordinary. It was simply choosing to honour what my body was asking for. Just a few quiet days spent doing things that filled me back up instead of draining me… And I’m so glad I listened.

What has your body been asking for lately? 🤍✨ by @birdsetfree111

Have you ever left a conversation replaying it over and over in your mind?
Wondering if you said the wrong thing.
If someone judged you.
If you should’ve explained yourself differently.

I’ve realized that often, it’s not about what actually happened. It’s about what our nervous system has learned to expect.

For years, I believed I had to make myself easier to understand so I could be accepted. And now I’m learning that healing isn’t about getting everyone to understand my path. It’s about no longer abandoning myself because they don’t.

If this resonates with you, I’d love to gift you my free journal, Peace Within the Pain.

Inside you’ll find gentle journal prompts, reflections, and simple somatic practices to help you reconnect with yourself, calm your nervous system, and find moments of peace… right where you are.

Comment PEACE below or send me a message, and I’ll send it to you 🤍

I’d love to know…

Your body is always communicating with you.

The question is…
Have you had a chance to listen?

Stress doesn’t only live in our minds.
It settles into our shoulders.
Our jaw.
Our hips.
Our breath.

And over time, we stop noticing how much we’re carrying because it becomes our normal.
That’s why Sunday mornings have become one of my favourite parts of the week.
For one hour, we step away from the noise and reconnect with ourselves through breathwork, gentle movement, meditation, and nature.

This isn’t about exercising.
It isn’t about touching your toes.
It’s about creating space for your body to exhale… To soften… To remember what it feels like to simply be.

Whether you’re living with chronic pain, carrying stress, or just looking for a peaceful way to begin your Sunday, this space is for you.

Everyone is welcome… women, men, children, beginners, and anyone who simply needs an hour to reconnect.

Sunday Morning Reset
Gentle Movement • Breathwork • Meditation • Nature
Harmony & Rossland area
Sundays: 9:30–10:30 AM
 $11

If your body has been asking you to slow down, I’d love to welcome you this Sunday. Send me a message to save your spot.

If we’re going to call ourselves adults, then we need to start having adult conversations.

One thing I’ve noticed over the years is how many women carry stress, resentment, anxiety, and even physical pain because of conversations that never happen.

Instead of asking questions, we assume.
Instead of communicating, we withdraw.
Instead of addressing an issue, we avoid it.

And then we spend days, weeks, or even months replaying stories in our heads about what someone else thinks, meant, or intended.

The truth is, not everything is about you.

Sometimes people are struggling.
Sometimes people are overwhelmed.
Sometimes people make decisions that have nothing to do with you at all.

But when we take everything personally, our nervous system pays the price.

The body doesn’t know the difference between a real threat and a story we’re telling ourselves. It responds with tension, stress, worry, poor sleep, inflammation, and often more pain.

Healthy communication isn’t always comfortable, but it’s healthier than carrying resentment.

You don’t have to agree with everyone.
You don’t have to like everyone’s choices.
But if something is bothering you, have the conversation.

Ask the question.
Seek understanding.
Clear the air.

Because peace doesn’t come from avoiding difficult conversations…. It comes from learning how to have them.

Let’s normalize healthy communication. If this resonates with you, drop a ❤️ in the comments and tell me what helps you navigate difficult conversations.

If you’re carrying stress, resentment, or emotional weight that feels stuck in your body, send me a message. I’d be happy to chat. No pressure, no obligation, just a conversation 🤍

Why do women feel guilty for taking care of themselves?
I was sitting in my backyard this morning watching a squirrel happily helping itself to all of my bird seed.

Not once did it stop and think…
“Maybe I should leave some for everyone else.”
“Maybe I’ve already taken too much.”
“What if the other animals think I’m selfish?”

It simply took what it needed and carried on with its day. And it made me think about how many women have been taught to feel guilty for doing the same.

Taking a walk alone.
Resting when we’re tired.
Saying no.
Booking the massage.
Going to yoga.
Asking for help.
Taking time to heal.

Somewhere along the way, many of us learned that caring for ourselves was selfish. But nature doesn’t work that way.

Animals don’t apologize for meeting their needs.

Maybe the exhaustion, resentment, overwhelm, and burnout so many women feel isn’t because they’re doing too much for themselves…

Maybe it’s because they’ve spent so long putting themselves last.

You can be a loving mother, partner, friend, caregiver, and still make yourself a priority.

Taking care of yourself isn’t selfish. It’s necessary.

💛 What’s one thing you could do for yourself this week without feeling guilty about it?
