After relocating multiple times as an NFL family, I learned something important:

The difference between a stressful move and a smooth transition usually comes down to a few key details.

Now, as a relocation specialist, these are the first things I focus on for my clients — and they make a bigger impact than people expect.

1️⃣ Fully set up beds on day one
Nothing impacts how a transition feels more than sleep.
Clean sheets, pillows you love, blackout shades, and kids’ comfort items create stability immediately. When everyone sleeps well, everything else feels more manageable.

2️⃣ A functional kitchen + groceries waiting
Arriving to coffee, snacks, and easy meals instantly reduces stress.
You don’t need everything — just the right essentials to feel human. Having the kitchen minimally operational creates a sense of normal life right away.

3️⃣ Internet and home essentials working immediately
Wi-Fi, TVs, chargers, lighting, and basic home function.
When a house works, people relax. This is especially important for families balancing school, work, and busy schedules during a transition.

Moving into a new home is one thing…
Feeling settled is another.

This is exactly what we help our clients with at Birds Nesting — making the transition feel smooth so a new house feels like home faster.

This was a fun one.
A client wanted a fully furnished, move-in-ready home — including a gym, landscaping, and house plants — with every detail handled.
Furniture, kitchenware, linens and more… all completed in a single day.

Some moments are just too good not to share. 👏

I met Matt Cord years ago when I was a Sixers dancer — long before I ever met Todd. Fast forward all these years, and Matt is at my tailgate giving Todd the full Sixers-style introduction. 😂

Such a fun, full-circle moment with an old friend.

And now @mattycord76 coming out of retirement for his 29th season behind the mic for the @sixers . Some voices just belong in Philly. ❤️💙

Welcome back, Matt! 🎤🏀

When the tailgate makes the morning news… you know it was a good one. 😉🦅

Thanks to FOX 29’s Alex & Mike for the recap! We had the BEST time last night bringing everyone together for another Birds Nesting tailgate. 💚🏈

Safe to say, Philly knows how to tailgate. 🔥

You don’t know tailgating until you’ve tailgated with @birdsnestingphl, @philly_sports_trips & @truefantravel! 🦅🔥💚

With @kewlmf DJ’ing, @toddherremans79 right beside you, @johnb4288 greeting you with that Philly warmth, @36westbrook posted up and chillin’, A.J. Feeley signing autographs, the Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleaders chanting and shining, Freddie Mitchell chopping it up with you, @ikereese58 jamming on the mic, and @therealdwalker literally towering over everybody…

It’s always surreal. taken in Lincoln Financial Philadelphia Eagles Stadium by @birdsnestingphl

If you weren’t there… you might’ve missed the best tailgate of the season.

What. A. Day.

So many Eagles legends in the house, Alex Holley & Mike Jerrick keeping us laughing, Matt Cord — another Philly legend — bringing the energy, an incredible crowd, amazing raffle items, and most importantly, our Birds Nesting community showing up in a BIG way.

But the best part? We all came together for a cause that means so much to this city and this community — the Eagles Autism Foundation.

I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make today happen — our sponsors, TrueFan Travel, all of the legends who joined us, our Birds Nesting committee (who somehow pulled off TWO successful events in ONE month 🙌), every person behind the scenes, and every single person who bought a ticket, showed up, donated, participated in the raffles, and supported the cause.

This is exactly what I hoped Birds Nesting could be about — bringing people together, building community, and doing some good while having a whole lot of fun.

Philly, you showed up. 🦅💚

Until the next one… taken in Philadelphia, PA by @birdsnestingphl

EAGLES FOOTBALL IS BACK! 🦅
•
Kicked off game day at the @truefantravel tailgate hosted by @birdsnesting before the Birds take on Washington.
•
@drinkcrooked were flowing, the energy was HIGH, and Philadelphia and Eagles legends Freddie Mitchell, Heather Mitts, AJ Feeley and Todd Herremans were all in the building. 🦅
•
Even better, a portion of the proceeds supported @eaglesautism. 💚
•
Shoutout to @betparx for having me out. Now it’s time for some football!
•
GO BIRDS. 🦅
