POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Flying the nest is an expression that references the moment a bird learns to fly and will leave the nest to start its own life –– and while all of us in Birdstick are already adults living our independent lives, the majority of us birds will be “flying the nest” per se to pursue life goals outside of music, starting with Nina & Ethan moving out of the country for grad school and yoga teaching at the end of the summer. As a result, Birdstick will be going on an indefinite hiatus at the end of Summer 2026 (but stay tuned for the next project; reach out to @agomes2448 for inquiries).

The last three years and more have been a truly wonderful experience entertaining audiences all over New England. We started as a three-piece band with an instrument switching schtick, and it didn’t take long to grow from a three-piece to a five-piece band adding elements of piano, harmonica, and driving percussion to the mix. So if you’ve ever come to one of our shows, invited us to play an event, followed us on social media, bought a T-shirt, placed our sticker somewhere, or have been one of our many talented friends to join us on stage, the birds of Birdstick just want to say thank you for joining us on this ride. It’s been a blast!

The last opportunity to see the full five-piece lineup will be this Wednesday at @raggedisland from 6pm to 8:30pm. We would love to see you all join us for one last show! taken in Newport, Rhode Island by @birdstickband

Big energy. Local roots. Funk Explosion! 🕺✨

We are beyond stoked to announce that @ripelove is headlining the Saturday slot of the 2026 Ragged Island Music Festival on June 13th! 🍻🎸

From their earliest days at Berklee College of Music to becoming a powerhouse of the modern groove, Ripe has always felt like family in the Ocean State.

This year’s incredible festival poster art is designed by the one and only @danblakesleemusic

Dan’s signature style captures the spirit of our island perfectly—and the best part? He’ll be joining us for a performance during the festival weekend, too!

Grab your tickets now and get ready to dance. This is going to be the highlight of the summer on the Farm!
