- I haven’t finished a piece of writing for the IKG on Alana Bartol and I don’t know if it’s so behind the schedule that it will even be published and honestly I haven’t opened the document in months and I don’t know when or if I will. I want to complete it and have it published. @alanabartol @ikg_auarts

Pine Orb, 2025
(51.0188557, -115.3955012)
about 75 cm^3

Made in an afternoon, on September 26, 2025, after attempting to find the lodge pole pine tree I planted in 2022. It might be there still.
I found a lodgepole pine, but I was not at the correct site. It was a different lodgepole pine. This is the first time I ever made an orb of pine. Pine portal. You know when they bend in the woods into an arch and create a portal? It’s kind of like that, but spherical and constructed by me on purpose because they told me to. by @birdyloughlin

To be performed again. Soon. Next week — asking it “why won’t you love me?”
I played a song I learned 2 hours before the panel critique. I played the mistakes. Then I cried while defending it because it was not defendable. I love you.
(installed for panel critique in fall 2024)
