☮️💖🔫 two households, both alike in dignity, in fair verona, where we lay our scene

this is my first colorscript ive ever done and honestly, i had a ton of fun working on this even tho i struggled trying to fully figure out the concept and flow for this colorscript but im glad how it turned out!!

the storyline mostly follows west side story’s plotline where maria/juliet is the one that lives and tony/romeo dies (i didnt wanna depict suicide tbh oops) but i also added a little bit of the baz luhrmann film in its influence too

thank you to @gtron3000 for helping me figure out this story and depicting it, i appreciate it very very much 🙏🏽

and its such an honor to be awarded 1st place for bfa colorscript!! thank you to @aau_visualdevelopment for this opportunity !! literally shocked me, i did not see it coming but i appreciate it so much ✨

congrats to the other winners for vis dev and everyone else’s work being presented at this year’s spring show! yall did amazing work as always, such a treat what other artist bring to the table every year 💖

anyways i have more stuff to post, i just need to finish my remaining work for the semester aaaaa

super late to post all this since its been a couple of months since graduating but now i have the paper to prove it wowwww (plus my cap from the ceremony)

tbh after graduation, ive mainly just been relaxing/taking a step back from working on any heavy portfolio projects. my brain needs to relax from like the past 5 years lol.

anyways, here's some random sketches ive done, just drawing whatever comes to mind. more to come soon maybe idk,,, art is hard by @birdysleeps

👽🪐✨ alien superstar compositions

another part of my vis dev style class's UPA assignment, just some scenes of aisha doing spy stuff like talking to an ear piece or slowly getting lowered into a vat of acid.

like i said in my last post, i definitely wanna do more for this story because it was a ton of fun working on it. i have so many ideas and leftover thumbnails to develop from 👀

👽🪐✨ alien superstar character designs and prop assets

ive now got so much more free time on my hands finally that i can post some of my school work from this past semester! i had a ton of fun in my vis dev styles class and the UPA vintage style is probably my favorite kind of style to work in.

for anyone who's been following me for a long while, aisha's a character ive had since high school and i felt like this assignment would be appropriate to develop and update her! i also rly liked doing the prop design for this assignment too, im such a fan of retro futuristic and googie designs - it was so much fun.

im definitely motivated to expand more on aisha and the world she lives in as well developing more my own UPA inspired style.

🍇🫐🍏 life couldn’t get much sweeter 🍋🍊🍒

legit cannot believe this album’s age is in the double digits, thats insane. i remember when the first few singles came out and knew this album was gonna be a certified banger. i think out of marina’s entire discography, froot is my # 1 (with ancient dreams and electra heart following, theyre all good regardless)

i wish i was able to experience the neon nature tour considering the set design of the tour looked SOO gorgeous but unfortunately i was 15 at the time with no adult money 😔 - but i was still appreciating the album one way with drawing fanart from 2016 (3rd slide)

its ok tho, catch me when the butterfly tour starts, i am legally required to attend marina concerts now as an adult

✨happy 10th anniversary froot ✨

❤️🖤🤍 rip david lynch

i feel like i havent been so deep and hyperfixated onto certain pieces of media for the longest time until my friends and i started getting into twin peaks. we were so in love w the show and david lynch’s direction/worldbuilding that we started watching more of his movies like blue velvet, mulholland drive and even dune. we loved those movies and those characters sm that we basically took inspiration and made our own characters based on them. literally wouldnt have existed w/o ever watching twin peaks.

i hardly do fanart (i should tho) but when i do, it rly shows how much i am in love with the media its for.

see you on the other side mr. lynch 🌹
