WHAT. A. SHOT! ✨

Assen last month concluded this motorsport season for me, coming Sunday I'll be at the Junior Track, but no more big tracks in 2025. Let's make some plans for next year! 😊

Prima weekendje zo!

Zaterdag naar Soest afgereisd voor de KP Active x Shokz Run Club. Het was echt super gezellig, dus zeker voor herhaling vatbaar 🫶🏼
De dag erna mochten we weer op weg naar het noorden voor een trainings dag met RACE-KIDS. En Assen zou Assen niet zijn als het niet lekker wisselvallig was de hele dag 🌧️☀️ by @birgitscheffer

Just a little context, we were 2 corners on the road on the out lap of a session. I was riding on the Kawasaki of @swrtracing while he was behind me on his other bike. So he had a front seat view of this little collision 😅

So of course I had to give this guy a thumbs up for the close racing 🤥

But overall I'm quite a nice person 😊 by @birgitscheffer

🥈Vorig weekend was het tijd voor de jaarlijks terugkerende 1/8e triathlon in Zwolle. 2 jaar geleden heb ik hier met een paar collega's voor het eerst een triathlon gedaan, en dit keer had ik dus 2 jaar "ervaring" op zak. Ik zie mezelf zeker niet echt als een triatleet, maar ik ben gewoon altijd rete competitief, en wilde dus elk jaar beter dan het jaar er voor.

Deze editie stond er echter héél véél wind. En met heel veel wind heb ik het dan over windkracht vijf. Het zwemmen was overleven, met als doel het hele stuk borstcrawl. Ik kan de afstand makkelijk helemaal borstcrawl doen, maar de vorige keren kwam ik een beetje in een paniek ademhaling terecht. Ik heb helemaal niet om me heen gekeken met zwemmen, en gewoon van boei tot boei m'n ding gedaan. Dan de fiets op, en met deze wind, was dat aardig afzien. Fietsen is echter vaak mijn beste onderdeel, dus ik haalde ook weer veel vrouwen in. Nog steeds geen idee op welke positie ik reed. Tijdens de wissel stond Robert langs de kant, en die zei dat ik streed om plek twee. Ik kwam als vierde de wisselzone in, met twee vrouwen vlak voor me. Dat had ik niet verwacht, maar gaf me wel weer een kleien extra boost, en nu was ik gebrand om tweede te worden. Ik haalde ze al vrij in het begin van de 5 km in en kon toen een klein gaatje behouden en kwam als 2e over de finish!!

Niet sneller dan vorig jaar, maar dat was ook heel lastig met deze omstandigheden. Maar de tweede plek zegt me wel dat ik ben verbeterd. Ik kan ook nog steeds niet zo goed geloven dat ik 2e ben van alle 75 vrouwen die mee deden 🤩

MiniGP day again!🏁
It had been a while since I’d been on a motorcycle, but today it was time for some MiniGP fun at Assen. These days aren't just about training for myself; I also coach a group of riders to try and improve their skills. 🤩

Holiday dump 📷🌴

Spent the last two weeks at the beautiful Ardèche region. Enjoying the sun, the river and the beautiful scenery. It was really hot though, while we had quite some days of temperatures above 35 degrees 🥵 taken in Sampzon by @birgitscheffer

Spontaneous flat track training yesterday!

While 5K in our bike ride, I got a call, asking if we wanted to join the Try Out day at @dirttracklelystad.
So back home we went, and we joined @douwe_douma_racing on this fun day. by @birgitscheffer

A little side quest into motorcross!

Today was my first ever experience with offroad, and while I have quite some experience with bikes on the asphalt, this was a whole different cup of tea 😅

I had fun, it was hard and it was very hot. 🥵
