Throwing it back to one of my favourite nights at @londoncocktailexchange with the fabulous @fruity.femmes and @thebrainjar , raising money for @kellyscause and celebrating our amazing LGBTQIA+ community.

Mistress Munch (@sylvian.lockwood ) brought the sexy and sultry burlesque and I brought the stupidity and energy. Together we gave you a SHOW.

Massive love to everyone who packed the venue, screamed, danced, brought a drink and supported such an important cause. We couldn’t have done it without you.

Pride isn’t just a month, it’s community, joy, resilience, and showing up for one another.

Colours of Pride ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🖤🤎🩵🩷🤍

This Pride, Schweppes is celebrating the people who make our community so vibrant, creative and wonderfully diverse by bringing together 12 LGBTQIA+ bartenders from 12 bars across London.

Inspired by the colours of the Pride flag and paired with their respective Schweppes Expressions, each bartender has created a cocktail that reflects their own story and the communities that have shaped them. These cocktails will be available from 22 June to 5 July.

Together, all participating bars will be raising money for @equalmeasuresuk , helping to support their social justice campaigning and create opportunities for those who have historically been marginalised within our industry.

As a former LGBTQIA+ bartender, I have first-hand experience of how often our community is overlooked and underrepresented. Throughout my career, I belonged to two communities, yet I rarely saw my queer identity reflected within the hospitality world.

Queer spaces, events and communities have always been at the heart of nightlife. But as bartenders, we spend our evenings and weekends behind the bar, working late into the night and often unable to fully connect with either our queer community or our peers within the industry. Existing in both spaces, yet never feeling fully visible in either, is something many LGBTQIA+ bartenders understand.

That’s why I wanted to create a safe space and friendship group for queer bartenders, a community where people can share ideas, attend events, build connections and, most importantly, support one another in an industry that still largely operates within a heteronormative world.

Meet the new Schweppes GB Bottle - Skittle Evolution

For the first time in a decade, Schweppes has reimagined its iconic 200ml glass bottle for the GB on-trade, retaining the recognisable Skittle shape, but evolving it for the bars and bartenders using it every day.

Colours Of Pride.
❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🖤🤎🩵🩷🤍💛💜

Now that Colours of Pride has come to an end, I’ve finally had a chance to reflect on the whole activation.

With the project signed off at the beginning of May, pulling this together in just six weeks has been an incredible journey.

13 bartenders. 12 bars. 1 community.

I couldn’t be more proud of myself and what we’ve achieved. From celebrating queer representation, raising money for charity and to giving LGBTQIA+ bartenders the platform they deserve, this activation has been so much more than a campaign.

I’ve been completely overwhelmed by the messages, comments, and support. So many people have reached out to tell me how much it has meant to see themselves represented and celebrated within our industry. Those conversations have made every late night and challenge worthwhile.

One of the most rewarding parts has been connecting LGBTQIA+ bartenders from across London and helping create a community where people can support, uplift, and celebrate one another.

A huge thank you to every bartender and bar that took part in the Colours of Pride activation. Your enthusiasm, support, and commitment made this campaign what it was, and I couldn’t have done it without you.

Here’s to continuing to champion visibility, inclusivity, and our incredible community, not just during Pride, but every day.
