Want to feel calm, confident and supported as you head into birth and beyond?
This 2-week course brings together hypnobirthing, practical birth preparation, partner support and postpartum care, so you can feel more prepared for what’s ahead
• Hypnobirthing tools and techniques
• Practical partner support
• Holistic postpartum preparation
We’ll look at how your body and mind work during labour, what can help you stay calm and grounded, and how to make informed choices that feel right for you.
You’ll learn practical tools you can actually use on the day, whether you’re planning to birth at home or in hospital.
Your partner will also learn hands-on ways to support you through labour (including many of the tools I use as a doula), so they feel confident and know how to be an active part of your birth.
And because birth is only the beginning, we’ll also spend time preparing for the fourth trimester, exploring simple postpartum care practices and traditions from around the world and how you can bring some of these into your own home.
It’s a small, relaxed and interactive group, with plenty of time to ask questions, practise the tools and feel prepared.
If you’re looking for a more holistic approach to antenatal education, I’d love to have you join.
Investment: $425 per couple
includes: 8 hours of education, Hypnobirthing guide book + handouts, 10 x Hypnobirthing meditations, morning tea provided

Every time I’m invited into a birth space, I’m in awe of what unfolds. There’s a moment when a woman crosses from thinking to feeling, when she surrenders to her body’s rhythm and lets her intuition lead the way. It’s raw, sacred, and profoundly human (it's amazing to witness)

My role as a doula isn’t to give you power, it’s to hold the kind of space where you feel safe enough to walk that line between strength and surrender. To trust yourself fully.

Whether your birth is a natural vaginal birth or one that requires medical support, both hold immense power.

Remember you are powerful. Always have been. Always will be 🌼

Yes! I absolutely love this. Every feeling in labour has a meaning. Certain types of feelings mean certain things are happening with baby,
And position is everything. Being able to freely move in labour is EVERYTHING. Mama and baby are doing a dance, feeding off of each other and helping each other in this beautiful process 💛👏🏼

Not ready to share your due date?

Just because someone asks doesn’t mean you have to answer. Sometimes sharing can create unnecessary stress, here are a few ways to move through those questions without awkwardness:
Keep it broad:
“We’re due in spring” or “Baby will be here sometime around November.”
Use humour:
“When the baby’s ready!” or “Between now and Christmas ,give or take!”
Redirect with warmth:
“We’re keeping the exact date to ourselves for now, but we’ll share when bub arrives.”
Set the boundary kindly:
“We’re not sharing our due date, just focusing on enjoying this season.”

Your pregnancy, your peace, you get to decide what feels right 🌿

When’s the best time to start preparing for postpartum?

So often, all the focus goes on birth prep, the breathing, the birth plan, the baby clothes. But what about after? Those first weeks and months where your body, your baby, and your whole world shift into something completely new?

The truth is: it’s NEVER too early to start preparing for postpartum. In fact, the more you weave it into your pregnancy journey, the more supported you’ll feel later.

✨ Second trimester is a beautiful window to begin. You’ve usually moved through the fog of early pregnancy and have more energy to think clearly and plan. This is the time to:

Explore what kind of support you’d like around you (partner, family, friends, doula).

Start conversations about how you’d love to be cared for, not just your baby.

Gather nourishing recipes or even cook a few freezer meals.

✨ Third trimester is where you can anchor it all in. This is the time to:

Create your postpartum plan (think of it as your “birth plan for after birth”).

Stock your home with small comforts that help you feel grounded, think teas, cosy clothes, sitz bath herbs, nourishing balms.

Line up practical support (meal trains, childcare for older kids, someone to tidy or fold laundry).

Learn practices to nurture your mind and emotions: meditation, gentle movement, affirmations, or journaling.

Holistic postpartum prep isn’t about buying every product or making everything perfect. It’s about creating a soft landing, where your body can heal, your baby can be held, and you feel supported in your new season.

The best time to begin? Honestly as soon as you feel ready. Every little step now is a gift to your future self.

Every birth is unique. There is no single right way for a baby to enter the world, and no two stories will ever be the same. Some babies are born gently at home, some arrive through the stillness of a caesarean, others in the intensity of a hospital labour, or in the calm of warm water. Each path holds its own wisdom.

Birth has a way of awakening qualities within us that we didn’t know we carried. A home birth might deepen trust in our own instincts, a caesarean may teach surrender and patience, a hospital birth can call us to adaptability, and an induction may reveal our strength in meeting the unexpected.

The way your baby is born is not a measure of success or failure. It is part of your unfolding into motherhood. Each experience carries lessons that are not only for you, but also for your child, shaping the way you step into this next chapter together.

Your birth, in all its uniqueness, is worthy.

✨ Want to feel calm, confident and supported as you move into birth and beyond?

This 2-week course brings together:
🌿 Hypnobirthing techniques
🤍 Partner support skills
🌸 Holistic postpartum preparation

It’s designed to help you move through pregnancy, birth and postpartum with more ease and trust in yourself.

Over the two weeks you’ll learn:
✨ How your body and mind work in labour (and what actually helps you stay calm).
✨ How to make choices that feel aligned with your birth preferences.
✨ Practical tools you can use on the day, whether you’re birthing at home or in hospital.

Your partner will also gain hands-on skills (a lot of the tools I use as a doula!) so they can step into a supportive role rather than just being a witness to your birth.

And because birth is only the beginning, we’ll spend time exploring postpartum care and traditions from around the world, and how they can be brought into your own fourth trimester.

If you’re looking for a full antenatal course in a small, interactive group, this is it.

As you prepare for birth, it’s easy to get caught up in the checklists, the “shoulds,” and the unknowns. But beneath it all, there is a quiet knowing within you. A strength that has always been there. A love that will guide every breath, every choice, every moment of surrender.

When you lean into that self-knowing, birth becomes less about control and more about trust, trust in your body, trust in your instincts, and trust in the love that connects you and your baby. 🌿

For too long, movies have painted a dramatic (and wildly inaccurate) picture of birth, screeching, out-of-control chaos. But in reality? Vocalisation in labour is one of the most powerful ways to work with your body and sensations.

Let’s flip the script. Here’s what I want you to know:

💪🏼 During a contraction, you are at your strongest, tapped into your most primal, most powerful self.

💪🏼 Your body is working at peak performance, bringing life earthside.

💪🏼 If making noise feels good, I want you to go for it.

Some sounds will support you more than others. Imagine directing the energy of your voice downward.

Think deep, open oohhh and ahhhh sounds.... these help your body release rather than tense. Shouting or screaming won’t ruin anything (there’s no “wrong” way to birth), but they can zap your energy.

If you’re ready to reframe pain, trust your body, and gain a toolkit of practical strategies for birth, I’d love to support you in the next round of Hypnobirthing Classes starting in November, visit www.birhtandbloom.co.nz to find out more xx
