POSTS STORIES REELS

Merchant Boat (set # 910046) - The Merchant Boat designed by @nicolas_builds was an absolute joy to build. Full of detail and life, it has tons of character. I love the design and color scheme as well. It’s actually a lot bigger than I was imagining when the set was first announced and it looks great on the shelf. It’s currently one of my favorite sets in my collection. Excellent Bricklink Designer Program selection. Huge congrats again to Nicolas. 🧱🎶

Porsche 911 GT3 RS Super Car (set # 77239) - It’s a bit disappointing that Speed Champions sets keep going up in price because they’re really fun to build. There are some interesting techniques in this set that I’ve never seen before. Love the black and yellow contrast. Like most sets these days, definitely worth picking up on sale. 🧱🎶

Lloyd’s Jet Mech (set # 71845) - Love this set, imo one of the best Ninjago sets and best mechs LEGO has released. It’s honestly a Transformers set at heart. I think it retires soon, definitely recommend picking it up! 🧱🎶

Lance’s Hover Jouster (set # 72001) - One of the most interesting and unique vehicle designs I’ve built. I love how this set can roll across the ground in any direction, very clever. I’d love to see a new Nexo Knights set with modern technique and pieces, there’s so much potential! 🧱🎶

Crocodile Submarine (set # 71512) - LEGO continues to knock it out of the park with these Dreamzzz sets. I’m definitely going to be sad to see this theme come to an end. I think it’s the most interesting and creative theme LEGO has at the moment and the sets are always a joy to build. I think most of the big licensed IPs have gotten stale over the last few years. 🧱🎶

It’s Minifigure Monday! - Today I wanted to feature Venomized Wolverine from the Spider-Man Car vs. Venomized Wolverine set (# 76336). I loved the X-Men Animated Series back in the day and Wolverine was always my favorite character so I picked this set up just for this minifig. I like the venomized trend, I’m interested to see what other characters LEGO releases in this style. 🧱🎶

Alien with Pizza Planet Rocket Ride (set # 43307) - I really enjoyed building this set, I think it looks great on display. The aliens were always my favorite part of Toy Story. I remember thinking they were hilarious in the first movie back in the day. It would’ve been nice if the set included a few alien minifigures but I can understand why LEGO might want to focus on this being a display set. Definitely worth picking up in my opinion, even at full price. 🧱🎶

AT-AT (set # 75440) - Very excited to find this on sale as I think it’s one of the best mid-scale Star Wars sets LEGO has released so far. As usual, I removed the plaque because I find them to be redundant. It was also blocking too much of the set. I simplified the base a bit to give the overall display a cleaner look. Really great set! 🧱🎶

Pegasus Flying Horse (set # 71457) - The Dreamzzz sets have so much character, I still think it’s a massively underrated theme. I love the purple and black color scheme and the Nightmare King still is one of the best original minifigures LEGO has released. If I had one critique of this set it’s that the seat with the wings comes off way too easily. Only two studs holds it all in place and the slightest bump knocks the whole thing off. It can be modified pretty easily but I’m surprised that design choice got approved. 🧱🎶

It’s Minifigure Monday! - Today I wanted to feature Web-Slinger from the Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse CMF Series (# 71050). It’s hard to pick a favorite minifigure from this series because they’re all very strong. If I had to choose, I’d say this one. 🧱🎶

Love these Transformers Brickheadz, really hope LEGO releases more characters. I’m glad the detailed pieces are all printed (especially the windshields) because they really elevate the look and feel of them. If you haven’t seen Transformers One yet be sure to check it out on Amazon Prime or Paramount +, I had a blast cutting the music for that movie. 🧱🎶

Fortune Master (set # 40864) - The Spring Festival sets have been so good the last couple of years, definitely underrated in my opinion. I had fun building this little guy. His tilted back head conveys an overwhelming sense of joy. I really like how multiple sets of eyes were included to depict different emotions. He’ll be sitting on my studio desk for a long time to come. 🧱🎶
