💙💛 Senior Spotlight on Captain Ja’Tore Jackson 💛💙 Ja’Tore has been a cheerleader all four years here at Bishop McDevitt. She exudes class and grace, and puts her own unique style and twist into every cheer, dance and movement she does making every routine her own. She is our calm voice of reason, and also our best hype girl. Ja’Tore’s favorite hype song before a game is Super Bass by Nicki Minaj. Her favorite snack is Cheez-It’s. Ja’Tore’s favorite MCD cheer tradition is being recognized at the beginning of the fourth quarter of every football game with our names being announced over the speakers in the stadium. Her favorite dance is “the horse” band dance, and her favorite cheer is “ defense, Crusaders, defense! Hold. That. Line.” After graduation, she plans to attend UPMC Shadyside School of Nursing and will become a pediatric specialty nurse. Ja’Tore’s advice for underclassmen is “ don’t be afraid to be an underdog, make mistakes, or step out of your comfort zone. Don’t rush your journey, your time to shine will come.” And, boy, do you shine, Ja’Tore! We can’t wait to see what your next chapter holds.
