1 year ago today I planted a new church. @reformationculturechurch . God told me to stand on Amos 9:13….things will happen so fast your heads will swim.

He said he would do more in 12 months than I’d seen in 12 years. SURELY…GOD…DONT….LIE

We started with 34 day one members and we are now over 1200 strong across 4 locations and we’re just getting started!

From Houston…TO THE WORLD! This is THAT!!

Some of you are calling things toxic simply because they challenge you. Everything that makes you uncomfortable is not unhealthy!

Correction is uncomfortable. Accountability is uncomfortable. Confrontation is uncomfortable. Growth is uncomfortable. Being required to confront your own dysfunction is VERY uncomfortable!

And if you cannot distinguish between discomfort and dysfunction, you’ll spend your life running from the very people, places, and processes God intended to use to develop you.

You’ll mistake accountability for control, correction for rejection, and conviction for condemnation.

Discernment is knowing when something is stretching you and when something is damaging you. Both can hurt, but they are NOT the same!

Stop calling everything that challenges you a threat to your peace. Sometimes what you’re calling a threat is actually an invitation to maturity.
