This is also why we always have one forgotten set of fresh clothes at the very bottom of his backpack/go bag. We never know when we'll need to use it 😂 by @bishopsoutside

Explanation in better words 🤣:
Want to take your baby camping - or even overnight hike camping - and don't know what to bring?
Here's my advice for what it's worth:
Go 'car camping' first and unashamedly over-pack for just one night.
You now have everything in the car JUST IN CASE. But here's the trick. Only use the ESSENTIALS as if your car isn't with you. Keep a written list of what you actually use.
You'll be surprised by how little you need, and also by how much you confidence will grow.

TASMANIA IS BUILT DIFFERENT. 🥾🏔️🇦🇺

Meet Elysia Bishop (@bishopsoutside) — adventure mum, hiking enthusiast and someone who knows a thing or two about exploring Tasmania’s wild places.

In this incredible footage, Elysia takes us into the spectacular Walls of Jerusalem National Park, one of Tasmania’s most remarkable wilderness destinations.

She’s also shared her TOP 5 TASMANIAN HIKES — and they’re worth adding to your bucket list!

🏔️ 1. Frenchmans Cap | 4–5 days
Remote, rugged and seriously challenging. Mountainous terrain, spectacular wilderness and views that make every tough kilometre worthwhile.

🌊 2. Three Capes Track | 3–4 days
Dramatic coastal scenery, towering sea cliffs with 300m vertical drops and comfortable hut accommodation. A more accessible multi-day adventure.

🥾 3. Ironstone Hut | 2 days
A steep climb into exposed alpine country, surrounded by beautiful lakes and rapidly changing weather. Proper wilderness hiking.

⛰️ 4. Quamby Bluff | 3–5 hours
Short, sharp and rewarding. A mountain climb with a rocky scramble near the summit and incredible panoramic views.

🌿 5. The Needles | 2–3 hours
A steep climb with huge rewards. Spectacular views across Tasmania’s southwest wilderness. One to add to your next Tassie road trip.

And then there’s the Walls of Jerusalem — ancient dolerite peaks, alpine landscapes and some of the most extraordinary scenery in Australia. Thanks Elysia for being part of our journey and we will be following you and your adventures 🫶🏻

Sometimes the best adventures are right here in our own backyard.

Which of Elysia’s five hikes would you tackle first? Or is there another Tassie trail we should know about? 👇

🎥 Footage and hiking recommendations: @bishopsoutside — give Elysia a follow for more hiking, camping and outdoor adventures.

Does this sound familiar? It is staggering how many things I don't end up doing, not because I don't want to (and honestly not even because I don't have time). It's because I don't allow myself to start them unless I have an entire day or afternoon free. Which, let's be honest, as a working mum, this hardly ever actually happens. Even when I do have a free day I can't choose what to do because there are so many things that I want to do. I've invented the 7-minute blitz. I'd love to hear how you go with it as well!! ✨️ by @bishopsoutside
