“Because We Accept And Believe”

IsaiahI 61:7 NKJV
7“Instead of your shame you shall have double honor, And instead of confusion they shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they shall possess double; Everlasting joy shall be theirs.”
‭‭
Believing in Him Will Not End in Shame

Peter reaches back to Isaiah 28:16: the one who believes in Him “will by no means be put to shame.”

I may experience rejection while I’m believing, but I will not experience disappointment because I believed.

Rejection may be part of the process, but shame will not be the conclusion.

“Because We Accept And Believe”

1 Peter 2:4: “rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious.”

Isaiah had already prophesied that Christ would be “despised and rejected by men” (Isaiah 53:3).

Rejection is not always evidence that something is wrong. Sometimes rejection occurs because people cannot recognize what God has chosen.
