🚨Flash Tattoo Announcement🚨

Each design was inspired from this band I got into a year ago. I did my best to make them designs that can evoke and inspire multiple meanings for whatever your walk of life holds.

I really want to do each one. They’re non-repeatable. Open to doing black and grey versions only, or adding red to a black and grey option. This rate for goes for arm and leg placement only.

✨Eyes are portals to the soul, are they not? ✨

First time getting asked to bring to life someone’s facial feature. And I gotta tell yall, it’s frikin magical.

I was a bit nervous on being able to capture the likeness of my client’s ask, but practice has paid off and the client and I knocked this one out of the park.

I feel anytime I’m nervous about a tattoo, that somehow it comes out to be one of my strongest pieces of work. So keep making me nervous guys, throw me your ideas. And let’s cook some magic.

I’d love the opportunity to take this idea and do a set of infant eyes, and definitely some older folk ones. This idea is very flexible and customizable, you bring the idea, I’ll set you up with the vision 💜

✨Learning is always occuring ✨

If you know me, I LOVE large scale work. I am always down to do smaller pieces, but my passion will always shine in the large ones.

I’ve done and started a number of larger scale pieces. And something I have had to learn is that, having a sense of completeness matters for the client. Life happens, so there is no promise of getting to complete a project once it starts.

Hell, I’ve had a number of large scale pieces never come back. And the one thing that always bothered me at night is the thought of how unfinished it looked. And if I’m crying at night about it, I can only imagine how the client feels walking around with it permanently on their body 😭.

I will always try to bring a session, big or small, to a sense of completion. I don’t either party to have any regrets on their tattoo, even if it’s in progress.

I LOVE how this tattoo came out. It’s probably one of the hardest tattoos I have brought to completion so far.

I’m so blessed to say I have clients who trust me to do my thing. And keep coming back 💜

I have so many other tattoos to post and share with yall, but in preparation of the flash collection I have lined up, I have to show yall that BLACK IS BEAUTIFUL. And you will hear me say that over and over.

I feel like studying watercolor has been the secret to understanding color theory this year.

I’ve been scribbling with color most of my life. Never heard of color theory until I was 25. And man, when I got that first instruction on it, I felt like I was swimmimg in Japanese. Too many words, and it all took what felt intuitive and natural before and put me in a place where I was lost in the sauce about it all.

I stepped back. I had to relearn what it meant to do black and grey as I became more comfortable with my newfound knowledge about color. Color has always been in the background as I pursued black and grey.

I had this client who booked 3 months in advance and I saw an opportunity to grow. I took time and designed his tattoo by hand with my watercolor. And I have to say, I went through 5 renditions to get to this one. I’m very happy to say he’s super stoked. And that kinda reaction for me with a client, can’t be beat 💜 by @bit_chas_tattoos

When a Pinterest tattoo is actually cool 👌🏽

Cant’t claim credit on design of this tattoo. It was already so good as a design. I ran with the reference and ensured it translated to read well on skin. Unsure who the artist is to tag.

Not everything on Pinterest is bad. I typically find my best references are from there when I go into my tattoo designing process. So I personally love the platform 😅.

For prospective clients, remember to be open when it comes to talking about ideas and trust your artist. And to fellow artists, our clients have good ideas; remember it’s our job to translate their idea to skin.
