Little does he know; I’m wearing his watch to his first day of School.

And yes, this is a #NWA announcement for the little man (that has been 6 months in the making)! This beautiful Hamilton Jazzmaster was Evan’s 1st birthday gift from my wife, myself, and both sets of his grandparents… I’m just lucky enough to wear it through all of his milestones until he’s mature enough to snatch it off my wrist!

What has always drawn me to these two brands are how much fun they have with their craftsmanship and designs. Both produce incredible timepieces that are extremely wearable and unique!

There’s something about the combination of the silver sunburst dial, black-and-silver bezel, orange seconds hand and black mesh strap that makes this Seiko particularly photogenic.

I wanted to capture it in two very different ways: one up close in the hand, and one out in its natural element against weathered wood and sand.

The SRPK09K has that unmistakable Seiko character — sporty, mechanical, slightly retro, and incredibly easy to wear. A little messy desk + EDC love for today’s #strapsaturday carousel ft. the @strapsco BonKlip bracelet paired with my trusty @diywatchclub Expedition GMT!

I’ve been wearing this combo for months, and it’s a perfect low-key summer watch and bracelet pairing! I love wearing rubber in the summer, but I think the BonKlip is a strong exception; it’s easily adjustable clasp system, paired with the fluid and airy links allow great air flow and easy adjustment.

Thanks to Linus, this @militadowatches Field Watch has become a staple grab-and-go piece for me; Seiko Meca-Quartz movement, 100m WR with a screw down crown… how could you go wrong!

Pushing Throwback Thursday to Tuesday to let you all know to #takethetime to explore your coastlines!

Firstly, thanks to @chriswardlondon and @bluemarinefoundation for their ocean protection initiatives!

As much as I love shooting watches, I also get really excited about bringing my camera along on family vacations and capturing some of the wild, crazy, and almost surreal landscapes and cities we come across, one of which I feel is my second home: Andros, Greece!

The first photo in this carrousel was almost 10 years in the making. My grandfather was born on the island of Andros, Greece, and I still feel like there is a piece of him still there, which is why my family loves this island, but the raw, historic, and storied coastlines, landscapes and (mostly historic port) cities of the island that make it so amazing and unique!

Back in 2015, my brother and I were exploring and stumbled across a scene that looked like something out of a fantasy movie; the Tourlitis Lighthouse perched on a stand-alone pillar of rock; shaped by the sea and currents, so naturally we stopped, my brother climbed down the steep rock face, and I took a picture on my iPhone, and we called it a day (second photo in the carousel).

It was one of my most treasured photos; until we went back last summer, with proper photography kit in hand - recaptured the photo you see above. Still as surreal, still stoic and lonesome, but a moment properly captured and remembered in a place with both familial and historic meaning to me and my family!

Additionally, we love our time spent enjoying the ocean, and respecting it as a place for us to enjoy, as well as respecting the ecosystem and its cleanliness for the wildlife that call our ocean’s home! Of course I had to throw in the watch I was wearing that day to make the content more watch-adjacent!

So after all of that, what #TakeTheTime means to me is exploring yourself, your history, and your surroundings (respectfully, wherever it may be) is always better with the ones you love.

🇨🇦 HAPPY CANADA DAY 🇨🇦

Yup, it’s Canada’s birthday, and it’s been of a flashback for me; having the sprinklers on so that the little one can enjoy running through the spray, fighting a heat wave, and chilling around the house - just like what my parents did with me. 🥲

It also seems that the @lockeandking Ossington & @strapsco Red Tropic Strap has become a combo of tradition for me!
