Welcome to Bitcoin Comox Valley.

We’re a local community dedicated to helping people and businesses confidently adopt Bitcoin.

Whether you’re simply curious, buying your first bitcoin, looking to secure your savings, want help setting up a node, or ready to accept Bitcoin in your business, we’re here to help!

We provide free education, one-on-one guidance, local BTC meetups, workshops, children’s classes, and merchant onboarding. Our goal is to make Bitcoin practical, approachable, and useful in everyday life.

The Comox Valley Circular Economy is a growing network of people and businesses choosing to build a stronger, more resilient community through direct trade with Bitcoin.

Whether your passion is local food, small business, sustainability, preparedness, sovereignty, raising a family, or simply building a stronger community, participating in the circular economy offers a way to invest in the place we call home.

Bitcoin Comox Valley is about more than technology. It’s about community, education, financial resilience, and local people choosing to support one another with sound money.

Education before adoption.
Understanding before investing.
Self-custody before convenience.
Community before profit.

* This is a heart-led community initiative. Everything we do is free.

* We will never ask you for money, privately message you to solicit funds, or sell you Bitcoin.

* Bitcoin only. We do not endorse centralized crypto projects or speculative tokens that enrich insiders.

* We do not provide investment advice or financial guarantees.

* Bitcoin is entirely voluntary. We are not here to pressure anyone into buying, using, or accepting it, only to educate and support those who choose to learn. by @bitcoincomoxvalley

We practiced paying with and accepting bitcoin at last night’s meetup. 🙂
If you have products or services, and accept bitcoin as payment, we want to support you!

We also have a challenge this month with prizes! So people are looking for places to spend their BTC.

I think we all left with freeze-dried ice cream sandwiches from Sats4snacks.com 😋

Bitcoin fixes this.

The refrigerator didn’t last 50 years because engineers were smarter. It lasted because money was harder.

Under harder money, businesses compete by building products that survive. Under fiat money, businesses compete by maximizing quarterly numbers in a world of constant monetary dilution.

Fiat rewards debt, consumption, planned replacement, financial engineering, and short-term thinking. Durable products become a liability because they reduce future sales.

When money itself is designed to lose value, everything built on top of it becomes more disposable.

#Bitcoin fixes the incentives. by @bitcoincomoxvalley

Taking a picture next to @simonpoirier0138 and his Bitcoin-bag-carrying arms is a humbling experience. 😂
