Hiiii!!! 👋🏻👋🏻

We are Mandy & Claire - two sisters who love to read and review books! It’s been a while since our first introduction so we wanted to say hi to our new friends!

We typically love to read all things thriller, romance, historical & contemporary fiction! We grew up as readers (thanks dad!) and it seems like every year our love for books just grows!

Fun facts?
- We are not just sisters, but best friends and neighbors!
- We each have 2 kiddos and who are also besties!
- Our husbands.. you guessed it, also besties 😂
- Coffee, sourdough, plants, the beach, and our doggies are also on the top of this list!

We have been on bookstagram since the beginning of the year and have grown to absolutely love this corner of the internet. We hope you find some amazing book recommendations here and we look forward to connecting with you all! 🩶

If you haven’t yet, check out our YouTube channel (link in bio) for some fun videos! We love talking all things bookish on there and hope to post more regularly when life slows down this summer ☀️

BOOK • REVIEW ✨

This was my (Mandy’s) first TJR book! Claire loved The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, which I still need to read, so I was excited to dive into a new authors work.

This book had a lot of drama! I loved the dual timeline that jumped back and forth from the current lives of the children and then back to the history of their parents. It was fun to see where it all began but the story was heartbreaking. Love, fame, insecurities, money, and deception were laced through this story.

If you like the Hollywood drama of the rich and the famous families - this one’s for you!

It was a def a good beach read so if you like books that fit the season, I’d wait until next summer!

What’s your fav TJR book? ⬇️⬇️ Let us know!

We read this one last summer as a book club pick and we are still thinking about it. This book followed a life that has made mistake after mistake, enduring things that many people would never face in their lifetime. It was heart-wrenching, eye-opening, and raw.

Warning: there is mention of child loss, abuse, addiction and a few other tough topics.

Through it all we were captivated from beginning to end. Corby’s story felt unthinkable, yet real.

We definitely recommend picking this up, but be prepared for an emotional ride!

Have you read this? What were your thoughts?! If not, what other book made you feel this way?

Happy reading, friends!

BOOK • REVIEW ✨

A fascinating story of the Brooklyn Bridge! My Historical Fiction people - this is for you. Growing up in Jersey, we had no idea the town of Roebling was named after the infamous Roebling family, who built the Brooklyn Bridge.

The story captivated us. The trials and tribulations of such a massive project were relentless. Even to the point where Mr. Roebling’s wife had to take over the job, during the time where women were not respected.

This is a powerful story that should be talked about more on this space. If you do pick it up, be sure to read the Afterword which will tell you all historical accuracies and the parts that are truly fiction.

A classic Freida book that will have you wondering what her infamous plot twist will be. A perfect October (or fall in general) book choice. A solid binge-worthy thriller. The Intruder fits the bill.

There’s some mention of child abuse, hoarding, and ofc manipulation so keep that in mind when picking this up.

But if you’re looking for a 24-hour read - this one is for you!

What’s your favorite Freida McFadden book?

BOOK • REVIEW

This was an easy 5⭐️s for me. I keep wondering how I let it sit on my shelf for so long!

Eva is in her 80s and working at a public library in Florida, when she spots a NYT article featuring a book that was looted by the Germans in WW2. The book seemed to have a secret code written in it that no one could crack. No one but Eva of course. Her heart cannot believe what she is seeing and despite her son’s wishes, she boards the first plane to Berlin.

During her travels, Eva recounts her brave journey through the war where she became a forger for the underground alliance and saved so many Jewish children and allies. Helping them escape to safety, Eva falls in love with her co-forger, Remy, but heir story doesn’t end there.

A story of bravery, resilience, love, and grief, fans of The Nightingale are sure to adore this one!

Although this was my first @kristinharmel book, it surely won’t be my last! Which one should I read next?! by @bite.sizedbookreviews

Tell Me What You Did by Carter Wilson

This book sat on my shelf for SO long, and this summer I made a goal to start working on my physical TBR. This one was creepy & had me double checking my locks before bed at night!

Poe is the host of a popular true crime podcast where her guests come on and confess crimes they have done. She loved her job and looked forward to meeting people who seriously sent chills down her spine. Until she meets a guest that has her second guessing everything.

This guest confesses to killing her mother. Here’s the kicker - she already murdered her mother’s killer.

Did she get the wrong guy? Is she next on his list? I was dying to find!

Pro tip - This book takes place around Halloween and I definitely wish I read this one during spooky season 👻
